Spoilers abound in the link above. It is an in-depth interview with Sutter about the end of 4 and where things may be heading.

I think Sutter needs to sit down and watch his bloody show and see if it's all 'organic' or not.

SOA is one of my favourite shows and I'll keep watching but he seems to be completely out of step with the fans - although it has been rating well so maybe he's not.

Tim: There were contrivances on top of contrivances. I fear that SOA will be a show I'll keep watching even though I don't like it anymore just because it was once brilliant and I've invested so much time in it - like How I Met Your Mother which used to be the best thing on the box and now that it is nearly complete twaddle it is getting the best ratings it has ever had, bloody yanks!

Funny how he thought that the main 'contrivance' was one the fans would have spotted way back, which can explain why it came across so weak. Maybe if he had been a little more obvious and given the viewers the same insight earlier on it would have worked better rather than it being a Bobby Ewing moment.

Hey Rusty (my usual question) are there any new shows worth watching? I'm thinking more of dramas this time round - Homeland is the only new one I've started and I think it's bloody good.

Homeland is the only new (good) show I am watching too. The few other new shows I am watching are all nothing to write home about. I have heard some good things about the new Kelsey Grammer show, Boss, but I don't subscribe to the channel it is on in the US. It really was a forgettable year for new TV. I am most looking forward to the new season of Justified that starts in January now that SOA is finished (same channel/time slot). Also Southland is back in January as well.

Boss is entertaining but rather far fetched. Production values are good, as is Grammer. He hams it up in high style.

Worth a look.

they started Justified at 2130 on TV1 over here, was on for 3 weeks, stopped for a couple of weeks and then started up again at 2300 on another night...fortunately, MySky picked it up and continued the series link for me!

Think I might need to source it another way

The first season was great - definitely the best new series I started watching last year. It really shows the influence of Elmore Leonard with the writing - the characters and their dialogue are great. Depending how long it takes TV1 to play the second series, I may have to try an alternative source too.

Got Mrs C started on Homeland last night and I was happy to start watching from the beginning again.

What an eye-opener that was. If you have the time and are up to date, go back and start watching again. You'll have a different perspective, especially on any character suspicions you have.

1st episodes were quite good. Have heard that it subsequently declined in quality though.

Homeland heading well for it's final 90 minute episode. Last ep was brilliant. Let's hope they don't do a Sutter on us.

After my comment above about rewatching some of it I think that the clues are all there for what is going to go down.

SPOILERS * TR and others who haven't watched DON'T READ from here on. * SPOILERS

I thought the last ep was interesting - although I have read that the series will continue so it will be interesting to see how they resolve the main characters story arcs. I wonder if they will even continue using the main characters?

I thought that they played the manic side of it pretty well - at no stage did I think they were taking the piss or Danes was hamming it up.

When Damien Lewis was speaking about Gettysburg all I could think of was that he was a mix of Winters and his character from Life (Winters for the commanding way he spoke and Life for the way he was even still a bit odd as he did it).

finished SOA, what a bloody cop out!!

Like most have said, was going well until the finale!

I reckon they coulda used the Juice storyline as a way to finish it.

I think the main reason it felt like a cop out is that it wasn't handled like a twist where it could dawn on the viewer. It just happened and they moved on. That interview with Sutter shows that he thought he had put enough clues in place for it not to be so abrupt but they were a bit too subtle and didn't even cause suspicions.

To build everything up and cut it down so quick was the let down. If they had played out the 'reveal' over a couple of episodes it would have been better.

That said, I feel there is a big 'reveal' also coming in Homeland and this time I think the clues have been stronger. It wil probably add to the story rather than remove the whole plot like the SOA one as well.

yeah thinking back, I can think of maybe a couple of hints of the possibility, but even knowing the way it panned out, they would be wild guesses at best IMO.

Too subtle by far and the main flaw is that there was no need for them to let Link's mob continue so far. It's just fiction though and always has moments you have to suspend belief. The trick is to handle it in the manner that doesn't piss people off. I think they didn't get that part right this time around so let's hope it's a lesson learned because apart from that plot device the rest of the series was great and I really enjoyed it.

    oh well, at least it was better than S3 for 13 ep's <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Will get stuck into Homeland now! Have only watched 1 episode and you can tell they intend keeping you guessing as to his allegiance while painting a picture of his guilt.

As an aside, if you wanna post spoilers, why not post them in a white font so they are invisible unless you highlight them?? see...That way it'll avoid any accidental reading, as there can sometimes just be key words that can be a giveaway, as in SOA, if you said CIA!
