That's a bloody young squad. The second row has 31 caps, and Carter makes nearly half of those.

The back row has three rookies. Capable young men but jeez...

There are a lot of * marking potential debutants in this squad. Fiji, Scotland, and Italy will have raised eyebrows...

Good to see Wallabies get rid of some dead wood like Simmons and Mumm. The likes of Tui and Hanigan are much better options.

Are there any Fijians left playing for Fiji or have the Wallabies poached them all ?

@pukunui There are more players of Island/Maori origin than of European descent in the Wallaby squad. First time ever I reckon and it shows how much the landscape has changed in Australian rugby. Should make the wallabies a lot more physical though.

    Yeah, 18 players.

Good luck spotting the 18th 😉

@akan004 On top of the 18 Islanders/Maoris (Adam Coleman being the 18th?), there are 3 Africans and Toby Smith, brought up in New Zealand. It is close to two-thirds foreign origin now.

@ARHS which probably under-represents the Australian Rugby community

His Dad is a former Tongan international.
He actually makes 19 Maori/Polynesian players.

For both Chris Masoe and Thierry Dusautoir, this game will be their last as professional rugby players.

Good to know. Next time @NTA blames Kiwis for ruining club rugby in Australia, I'll remind him that it is them (and their kids) who are helping to keep rugby alive over there.

Haha, Chris Masoe just got yellow carded in the Baabaas game and walked off full smiles, thanking the crowd.

And, as you'd expect in a Baabaas game, Dusautoir converted the last Baabaas try:
