    💵 💰 💵 💰 💵 💰 💵 💰

Will the Mitre 10 Cup teams get a share of the proceeds? I assume they'll get their players a week later, because SR players are entitled to a certain minimum of rest after the SR competition? The Blues won't make the Final on 5 August, but the Highlanders are still in with a chance.

    @Stargazer

    Fuuuuuuuck that.

August 11th? In Kumagaya (literally, the hottest part of Japan)

I won't be in town, but even if I were, no fucking way. Seriously, I hope no-one strokes out.

@gt12 To me, it sounds like pure greed. It's all about $$$$.

I've spent 3 months working in Tokyo (Jul-Sep) - stinking hot and super high humidity. Are they doing this as a favor for FIFA to see what will happen to athletes in Qatar?

Better than playing in Fukuoka that time of year!

What the heck is going on with several SR sides to go to Japan for one game? Now this and the timing is really odd.

With the Rebels also signing England and Lions lock Geoff Parling for 2018 Super Rugby season, can we conclude that they will not be cut from the competition? Or just tactics (with Parling having an out-clause in his contract, obviously) to try convincing ARU not to cut the Rebels?

    This makes me happy 🙂

Look forward to Tana picking him in every game next year and reading the crying about it on here.

I'm loving the keep marching forward attitude from Melbourne right now in this whole Super Rugby debacle, you could almost say they're being......... rebellious.

Both are Taranaki players so would have a connection with Colin Cooper.

The Hammett effect could be starting... 😉

@Bovidae I guess if Seta wants to play 13 he needs to look elsewhere too.

@taniwharugby But the Chiefs would have Ngatai and ALB in the midfield so Seta is back on the wing.

That's too bad. He's had a lot of big injuries for such a short career.

This opens the door for Auckland to start Dalton Papali'i at 6 this year. Seu can move to lock to pair up with Scrafton.

This reminds me of the time when there was constant crying on here each week when Luke Whitelock would start ahead of Jordan Taufua under Toddy. 😉

@Nepia Nothing surprises me with you thieving c#nts! 🙂

In fairness, Cooper should have a pretty reasonable warchest to spend with Cruden, TKB, Lowe, Rennie and Keane all leaving.

Who's got Alex Nankivell's signature? Hopefully Leon's been in his ear not to sign anything while he's in enemy territory!
