@african-monkey He also seems like a good decision maker - and that is helping the backline a lot.

He'll need to increase his punt distance, and work on moving straight ahead when passing (he turns his body a lot at times). Very good composure so far for a 19 yo.

@tim said in Auckland vs Canterbury:

    Nice work Prattley.

    "Nice"?

That's an extremely tame adjective for you. 🙂

I would have almost expected, "The awesomely destructive Prattley decimates a Canterbury scrum".

    But, it's Prattley.

However, having decided he's a scud missile, Prattley puts himself on full launch mode. That clean out bears some looking at.

I've been up very late on conference calls this week - I just don't have my usual energy!

Another error from GPT - he is garbage. Another Aucklander on the field for Canterbury

Prattley really woke up after those scrum penalties.

This ref is woeful. Counter ruck is fine means you can go in from the side now (Sanders).

It’s been lucky for a few players that this ref doesn’t like referring anything to the TMO...

Woeful effort in defence from the Canterbury fullback there.

    Auckland back in the lead.

McKay is very, very lucky. This ref is pretty dreadful.

The Auckland tryscorer moved up very quickly there, way before the ball had passed over the end of the lineout.

Huge change in the Canterbury scrum with the replacements on.

As witnessed by that embarrassment Canterbury made of the home team scrum to win a penalty.
