Good to see the went with my XV and only differed with me at 20 and 22 where I was wavering on Ardie and tossing up between ALB and Mo'unga.

I'll be an All Black selector yet.

At least we will know who to blame if it all goes wrong 😉

    Deans?

    Michael Hooper (c) (74 Tests)

About to get his 75th cap and he's only 25 years old. What a machine.

Sam Cane the same age and about to rack up 50, after sitting behind the captain and arguably best ever AB for 3 years...

@bones Yeah, that's impressive too. On one hand, a lot more games off the bench. On the other hand he plays a much more physical game than Hooper.

Yeah, but he will be tucked up in bed with one hand on it. Unfair to interrupt him

Doesn't matter how many starts they have. The better stat is this

Hooper 74 games with a 52.7% win rate
Cane 49 games with a 91.83% win rate

    🙂

or, to put it another way:
    Hooper 74 games, 40 wins
    Cane 49 games, 45 wins

Hooper with 50% more games, and fewer wins. Go the might ABs

Damn distracting looking at stats. Here's another I spotted

Cane is about to join a special group of players that have played 50+ test matches with a win rate of 90% or more

    Others are

    Sam Whitelock
    BBBR
    Crockett
    A Smith
    Dagg
    B Smith
    BB
    Coles
    Cruden
    Faumuina
    J Savea

Then there is a whole bunch with 50+ tests and a win rate over 80%. All ABs except for the very bottom of the list with Kyran Bracken scraping in at 80.39.

PS: Both Nonu and Conrad just miss out on 90% by one win. That 2012 draw in Brisbane eh? 1 more point would have made one more win.

McCaw misses out by 3 wins. For that I blame Barnes.

Love stats. But only easy ones about winning percentage and stuff. I'll leave individual stats to the true nerds.

Remember this from 1996? I was chopped at the student pub, remember Mehrtens big run, but missed Buncey actually scoring it.

    Fark, Bunce was awesome.

@nzzp Mehrts brilliant. Huge attempted clothsline on Cullen. If that had connected he really would be 'Beerbottle'!
