Good to see Fatialofa back in the 23. The Canes will be a lot better when he can start in the second row, Fafita to 6 and Shields to 8

Proctor in his best position. Another poor game from Savea and I would expect Aso to take the starting wing spot off of him next round

Is Christie injured? Can't understand why they have picked Booth over him.

@akan004 Really? Whenever I've seen Booth he's been impressive.

Small sample, but I'd pick him over Christie and I'm a Ta$man Supporter.

I think he got injured during the Brisbane 10s.

That's more like it. The selections for the first game were a disaster. So the loss might not be such a bad thing as the coaches collectively completely lost the plot last week. Not only with selections but also replacements. Hopefully they have now righted this

Although Savea (J) must be on his last chance. He just made up the numbers last week. And Lam needs to show he's up to this level. He's fast but not much more. And hopefully JGB steps up. I don't want to see West on the field again this year. He's a great example of everything that was wrong with the Canes in the past.

Line-outs are shit so far in this game. That was a horrible throw from Riccitelli.

Good try from Lam, but all the work was done by Evans, who made a great break.

Laumape bulldozes over. Hurricanes lead 12-3.

Gareth Evans is one of the best players on the field.

Canes playing canes rugby ... they will be intercepted soon for sure.

Jags discipline is woeful with the canes not far behind ... ball security is terrible as well.

    Laumape owning it so far

Fark me both sides chucking it around ... canes are going for tries in every single play, regardless of field position

J Savea is looking like that mate who fills in when you are short of numbers for a club cricket game. Can't bowl, can barely hold a bat and couldn't catch a beach ball.
Crazy the cliff he has fallen off from being the best winger in the world.

They should just ditch Julian. Aso to the right wing and finally Lowe to the bench. Lowe not getting a single opportunity is driving me mad. This was a game to introduce him to SR.

At what fucking point are the canes going to realize that you need to get points.

Tits for hands, woeful ball rentention, woeful discipline. Such a frustrating game to watch

If the Canes play like this next week, they will be crushed even by an injury stricken Crusaders team. Don't know what's wrong with the Canes but they're not looking good.

Now Aso on for Jordie. Hope that was a planned sub and not an injury.

Finally, the bus gets into a higher gear and Proctor scores a try.
