I've been really impressed with the Chiefs this year. They seem really well coached to cope with their run of injuries. But I expect that the loss of Retallick alone would have been enough to give the Sharks the edge. The guy is a machine. But to also be without MacKenzie and Cane. Seems a bridge too far.

That said, Alaimalo and Stevenson are deadly. Stevenson in particular seems to scratch chances out of nothing.

Average game with lots of handling errors. Sharks could have been well ahead, but some of them just can't catch a ball. Considering all the players that they're missing, the Chiefs have done well. Hope they can do that for the full 80.

TBF to Fa’auli I don’t think that was one of his normal no arms tackles per game, I just think he didn’t have a chance to wrap because he went so low.

Laulala on for Fa'auli. Good decision because Fa'auli is a liability for the Chiefs with his tackling. Penalty resulting from a high tackle from Ta'avao: 28 - 17 Sharks.

Great try from Alaimalo. He's been quiet all game, but earns the Chiefs a useful bonus point at the end.

Could have been worse.

IMO Ardron, Ngatai & Stevenson were the Chiefs' best and Sowakula and Fa'auli the Chiefs' worst.

I haven't seen the match, or last night's games either, but I was surprised that the Chiefs got so close.

Next weeks home game against a confident NSW team is crucial.
