Are you struggling? Hit the wall? Lacking motivation? MvJ has hit the wall a bit, and I see from the logs there are a few posters in that boat. <br />
<br />
Do not despair. This is the thread for you :-)<br />
<br />
Most of us have been going a month or more, so we deserve some time off. Take it. Have the weekend off, do no exercise, eat some bad food and relax. Three nights and two full days off to relax will be better for your health and wellbeing than all the diets and exercise you can cram into that period. <br />
<br />
Then, on Monday, we'll refocus and aim at a short-term goal, namely a one-week burst of activity which everyone will be keen for after a great rest. <br />
<br />
Tonight being Friday MvJ has grabbed an Oporto chicken burger with large chips and eaten it lying on the couch. My first fast food in over a month! Next I'm going to watch Friday Night Games and drink a bottle of Poet's Corner. Ahh... bliss. (I do have a rugby game on Saturday, but otherwise it's a weekend off Fatbusting for me.)<br />
<br />
Who else is in, and what are your plans?

Fark I'm in.  Unfortuantely that has been the same most weekends.  Unlike you my Husband doesn't let me drink wine  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />  :happy: so I will instead have a few beers.<br />
<br />
Have a 40th to attend this weekend too so no chance of being 'good'

Classic TSF, two replies and already it's turned into a "who can have the most hedonistic weekend competition"  <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The first Fatbusters casualty will be a cardiac arrest MvJ thinks, but not in the way we might have thought  :happy:<br />
<br />
Seriously though, any thoughts on beating the training blues or whatever it is, let's have them fellas. By squash I assume you mean the sport and not the drink which one might mix with a stiff vodka...

Indeed.  Squash, the sport. <br />
Variation helps with the training blues. When truly concentrating on getting fit, I have to mix up the types of excercise I do or I end up flagging it.  Thought about going a gym?

I had Nutella today. Nutella is bad.<br />
<br />
I'll feel better tomorrow - going to the gym in the morning (the first bit of training I've been able to do since I got whacked by the Samoan dude) and Weight Watchers.
Well since I find it hard to motivate myself for a run (and generally hate it), I try and get in as many sports as I can. Play indoor netball & soccer 3-4 times a week, plus rugby trainings, etc.<br />
<br />
Pre-season I did a lot of speed training which I quite liked as I worked up big sweats and also felt like I was achieving something, and would go no longer than 30 mins. Workd a lot on footwork, etc, so it's quite a challenge to be able to master certain variations of steps when you're as unco as myself.<br />
<br />
Get yourself one of these from somewhere:<br />
http://www.power-systems.com/nav/closeu ... ity/Ladderâ„¢<br />
<br />
And some of these:<br />
http://www.power-systems.com/nav/closeu ... &g=2504&12<br />
<br />
And then do something like this:<br />
http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q= ... ning&meta=<br />
<br />
And you can make up a program or just try do stuff on your own from material on the net. Or else get a vid or a trainer for a one-off or something.

Indeed.  I think I need to sort my shit out re: weight loss.  Just doing the bare minimum ad getting nowhere apart from being more fit
