Before these guys were pretty fly for white guys, and whinging about people to get jobs, they released a pretty fair old album back in the early 90s. When i saw them at the BDO i thought they were pretty good, but at that point "Smash" was only available as an import.

Some great stuff there Tim.

Listening to the sound at work and sometimes they play the aural atrocity that is Jethro Tull. I remember mates at school being fans but somehow I never actually listened to them, now I have I just don't get it. For a start that twat with the flute can fark right off.
-
I don't know who Common is. But Seth does have some pisstake songs ("Dear Science" for example).

I'm not generally into rap - I listen to this guy after a mate introduced me to a couple of his other tracks. The message is what I dig, not necessarily how he's presenting it.

From what little I've heard, a lot of the Aussie hip hop/rap scene is very similar in terms of enunciation. It's kind of seppo, but kind of Aussie accented.

I'm not into it enough to tell the difference - I generally lump rap and hip hop in together, like I put house/dance/trance and all that other stuff in together.

seriously, i'm stuck in the 90s

No problems with you enjoying it, I just wasn't sure if it was a pisstake or that's how Ockers rap!

M4L: I'm getting good memories of late high school and early uni with those songs.
-

I love the intro to that song, the distorted guitar sound is kickass

For those of you that like your music a bit harder, Korn have a new album out next week. They've ditched the dubstep sound, and gone back to their usual guitar metal sound. I didn't actually mind The Path of Totality, but I'm glad they didn't carry it on.

New Pearl Jam coming out next week too :-D
-
