FUCK beta blockers.
That is all.
You might want to take a leaf out of Bill Werbunik's book. A snooker player from the 80s who needed beta blockers but didn't't get on with them, so he got a dispensation to sink 6 pints of lager during each day of competition. Worth a try surely?
-
@catogrande not sure I can handle that...
Still, they do the job: BP was about 135/80 the last few days. Today: 116/67.

Went for a RUN this morning. Well more of a jog. But I didn't walk any of it!
(I woke up a bit later than planned, if I'm completely honest, and only had about 20 minutes to get shit done)
3km in 18:24 which is ok in terms of pace for someone this unfit.
What was interesting is the complete lack of vision problems, even after the 5-10 minute margin I usually experience them. So maybe the beta blockers are helping there?
-
Was awake since 4:30 so once it hit 6 I went for a run. Vision issue came back (fuck!) after ten minutes, so maybe not all is rosy there. But yesterday I hydrated beforehand so maybe that's it?
Weigh in this morning.
@nta said in Back for more!:
Today: 101.6kg - Chest 118cm - Waist 111cm - Hips 112cm
Today: 100.2kg - Chest 117 - Waist 110 - Hips 112.
So another 1.4kg gone along with a couple of cm.
Feel like I could take a fairly decent shit, too, so maybe even under 100?
Fucking stoked.

Weekend dumps are one of life's great pleasures. Great knowing you're not under any time constraints.

My 9:30AM dump at work is MY time. Unless I've got a meeting at 10 I'm not rushing shit. Literally.
Work dumps for me are dependant on how much black coffee I have

@mn5 said in Back for more!:
I read black coffee no sugar is great for metabolism. I have 3-4 cups a day.
I have no sugar except for whatever is in the milk and the limited amount of chocolate on the cappucino at work.
At the moment my metabolism looks to be flying. Even with eating changes, 3.2kg in 2 weeks is pretty fucking good.
Thinking I might find either a pilates or yoga class in the area in order to help with core and flexibility.

I know someone and you know her too but it's a bit of a commute.

@nta said in Back for more!:
@mn5 plus she'd fucking kill me, just for a laugh!
She says I have gotten better, more flexible and mobile and I know this is 100% true cos she's more than happy to tell me if I'm useless at other things.
But seriously, can't recommend Pilates highly enough. There is a reason top athletes swear by it to compliment other training they do.

@mn5 Local studio here wants $90 just for the "initial consultation"
Will search a bit wider but that seems a bit fucking rich. They have all this equipment, when last time I did pilates it was just a mat on the floor and my own fat arse.
The equipment will be reformers. They are awesome. Great at helping those little stabilising muscles work hard. Getting those good helps benefit anyone no matter how fit they are. Old mate MN5 had a great day at my oldest boys birthday party today making sure I won the Nerf gun fight scaling the walls, doing commando rolls and shooting their stepdad lots hahaha ( he's an awesome bloke but still, competitive dad had to win
)
It's hard to explain but I can put a lot of it down to regular sessions. Aches and pains are a thing of the past.
