Lots of high tackles by Springboks players in this half. Forwards passes. Failed line-outs.

Why replace a player with 10 seconds to go?

Full time: Argentina 32 - 19 South Africa

Well-deserved win for the Pumas. The Ledesma effect?

Argies have some confidence, running it from their ingoal, but there was one hollywood from Sanchez a while back (tackled in air) that still stops one from supporting them wholeheartedly.

Yeah, I know. I think some of that shit would disappear if they started winning though..

Oh, and after that ”nearly fucked up the try” dive, getting hit in head accidentally, and saffa coming back and saying ”sorry, yeah, fucked that up”... still clutching the head and checking for blood.
    Fuck that.
And yeah, winning should fix that, but it seems like it will take a generation of winning.

So is that the RC mostly done? We win BP home and away against the Argies, and lock it up unless the Saffers destroy us with BP both times?

    @nzzp

Yep - that looks about right. Oz/SA share spoils with each other. Possibly Arg/Oz do as well.

    Another NZ snooze cruise.

It’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it.

    Congrats NZ.

Argies grow an arm and a leg at home. They are a good side to watch when they go wide.

The Boks however weren’t creating space for their outsides by just shovelling it sideways.

Rugby Championship: All Blacks' concussed duo good to go against Argentina

The All Blacks have been bolstered by news that Ryan Crotty and Sam Cane should be available for selection for the next test against Argentina in two weeks' time.

I've only seen the highlights but the Arg backs really exposed the SA defence out wide, as Eng did too.

Looking ahead to the NZ and Aust games, SA will be abrasive up front but their wingers only look good with the ball.

I'm surprised the ABs aren't asked to play in Mendoza or Cordoba. Much tougher to win up there.

Springboks: Duane Vermeulen called in as reinforcement

Rassie Erasmus, who gave a frank assessment of his side’s “embarrassing performance” against Argentina on Saturday, has wasted no time taking action.

According to reports, Duane Vermeulen has been drafted in to join the squad for the Rugby Championships as the Springboks embark on the Australasia leg of the competition. The Boks will have a week off before travelling to Brisbane to play Australia and then darting across to Wellington for a clash against the rampant All Blacks.

Rapport said over the weekend that Vermeulen will join the side for the New Zealand Test. Prior to the competition, it was understood that the player would miss the Rugby Championship because of his contractual obligations with Japanese club side, the Kubota Spears.

According to reports, though, Vermeulen will be released as Erasmus looks for ways to engineer an upset.

Well, we'll find out what Frizzell and Hemopo have now, I guess.
