Yes. Marty spent at lot of S2 trying to save people (Rachel, Ruth, Mason) and Wendy has gone full-Darlene in self-protection mode. The lawyer knew what their escape plans were and Wendy responded. The expression on Marty's face at the casino opening was priceless once he was told they weren't going anywhere.
I knew Darlene had poisoned Jacob as soon as she gave him the cup of coffee. The look they exchanged in the kitchen setup what was to follow.
:::
Enjoyed Darlene’s character arc and the bit of backstory they gave her .

Watched 'Barry' on the plane. Hitman (Bill Hader) decides he's sick of the life and pursues acting.
Weird one, kinda felt like I should think it's shit but I couldn't pull myself away and had some neat acting from a few familiar faces (Justified, Billions, Orange ITNB/how to get away with murder.
Good for a plane binge, 8 episodes and probably only one series, seemed almost like a really long movie.

I really enjoyed it.
Looking forward to series 2

@mikethesnow I really liked it too, but wouldn't hold out much hope for a season two where every episode is "starting...from...now!". Unless they're going to knock it out the park with cameos.

Finished The Sinner.
Bit of a let down episode IMO after 7 good ones.
Sure it tidied things up, but just seemed really flat, knew there was more to the pregnancy than we had been told and not surprising in the end.
Not normally a big fan of Pullman, but I think he does well in The Sinner, but the real star of this season is Julian.

@taniwharugby Is this S2? I've been pondering watching, but I was really pissed that S1 was great all the way through and then had such a lame resolution truth to all these creepy good plot points.

Kidding.
new thing with Jim Carrey. approached with much trepidation, if he's gonna do his manic bullshit comedy I'm out but luckily he doesnt and this is soooo goood. I hardly even think he's acting he seems so fucked in the head these days. Plus the kids in this are total misanthropic nutjobs which is an unexpected bonus
Watched two episodes. Very good.

Ok I'm obviously pretty dim, but last episode of Bodyguard. Poooooo stinky.
:::
What the fuck? Of course the Arab is the baddie and masterminded a shitload of complicated stuff from in the slammer.
Oh the boss of the bodyguard meekly gives up and confesses all, while having no motive for either fucking everyone over nor confessing? Riiiight.
Confusing as fuck and all over the show.

That aside, excellent series

@mikethesnow yeah it was brilliant, real let down in the final episode, edge of your seat stuff.

Bodyguard has smashes rating record for the last decade for a drama on UK TV.
I thought it was a wonderfully old-fashioned thriller in the style of Hitchcock or Agatha Christie where suspence came first and slick presentation next. Too many dramas in recent years have focused too much on the motives of the villains and been bloody boring.
-
I have the finale of Bodyguard to go...up until now has been very good

I know @jegga is a big fan of Strikeback, but I gotta say S6 is a bit pants with even more unbelievable storylines and narrow escapes (in one ep, while in the Middle East, one of the agents calls on a Warlord who he had previously crossed, to honour thier cultural 'guest rites' and give them a safe place to stay over night after a shootout, in another, they survive a bunker buster missle while only 50m outside the bunker)
The 2 main characters (Scott & Stonebridge) are replaced by a new team, and most of this series has a cartoonish feel to it.
First couple of eps are your usual sex scenes, may be another 1 or 2, but not 1 per ep.
2 of the females in the team are worth watching it for, but overall is down on prior series until final 2 eps when Scott & Stonebridge make an appearance and it made for a better show.
