Bens Lams atttemped tackle on Lamert looked like an imitation of someone walking through a turnstile..
He does this a lot. Yet some think he's AB potential. Lam is fast and has good ball skills but his poor defense and lack of aggression is his downfall.

@kiwimurph he was about mid way through the comp, cant see that he has changed his ways.
M10 Cup webpage used to do player and team stats, but they havent done them this season.
They do! On the home page, but it doesn't include player discipline (only team discipline).
-
@stargazer ah silly me, I was looking under the Stats tab on thier website!
think they had penalties last year though??
-
This could get ugly for the Naki.

Having seen my own team go down from the Premiership to the Championship a few times, I always find it hard to watch teams in their "dying moments" like Taranaki is now. It doesn't give any satisfaction, unless you're the surviving team like Counties is now.

As a Counties supporter I am happy the Naki will lose. Counties will be the "Big Dog" in the chiefs region which means shit nowadays unfortunately.
I wonder whether Waikato supporters will agree with that if they retain the Shield this weekend and gain promotion to the Premiership in two weeks.

@stargazer agree with your coms, never enjoyable watching a team getting relegated, you would not have picked this when Taranaki dealt to Manawatu in their shield defence earlier in the year..On paper they looked a really good team but I just suspect once a few injuries bit along with losing their skipper to the All Blacks the wheels fell off..!.
losing full use of their ground has probably hurt them financially as well..i suspect we are starting to see the 4 of the 5 super based franchises starting to return to their former glory, with Ta$man being the exception to the rule. -

Yeah, I'm happy we scraped through, which is proving over this format to be not that difficult. Look at how two of the big 5 (Welly and Waikato) have managed to fall on one poor or injury hit season. Otago have permanently lost their spot in the big 5 and now Ta$man have justified claim to the spot Naki held for a while.
It puts our performances of hanging in the prems in perspective.
At least staying up gives you the chance that if you are building you might hit your peak while in the big comp. -

On top of the long injury list has been a change of coach from Cooper to Rickards.

@steven-harris I think they lost a few of thier corporate sponsors due to the ground issues, but I suspect many will be back once back to normal.
Bit of a hospital pass to thier new CEO though and then came the on field performances to make his job that much tougher to generate income in the short term, but then he has experience trying to attract sponsors for an under performing team.
