Jami-Lee Ross has been admitted to a mental health facility. Hardly surprising given the way this has played out, probably finally dawned on him how screwed he is now.
-
@no-quarter Interesting to see that he did not have to spend months on the waiting list before being offered a position.

He might have been threatening to harm himself or others.
In other news National can kick him out using this

member becoming mentally disordered
(1)
Where a member of Parliament is, or is deemed to be, subject to a compulsory treatment order made under Part 2 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, the court by which the order is made shall, as soon as may be, give a notice to the Speaker of the making of the order.
(2)
Where a member of Parliament is received or detained in a hospital in accordance with an inpatient order made under Part 2 of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992, the person in charge of that hospital shall, as soon as may be, give notice to the Speaker of the reception or detention.
(3)
Where the Speaker receives a notice under subsection (1) or subsection (2), the Speaker shall forthwith transmit the notice to the Director-General of Health, who, together with some medical practitioner named by the Speaker, shall without delay visit and examine the member to whom the notice relates, and shall report to the Speaker whether the member is mentally disordered.
(4)
If the report is to the effect that the member is mentally disordered the Speaker shall, at the expiration of 6 months from the date of the report if Parliament is then in session, and, if not, then as soon as may be after the date of the commencement of the next ensuing session, require the said Director-General, together with the said medical practitioner or some other medical practitioner named by the Speaker, again to visit and examine the member; and, if they report that he or she is still mentally disordered, the Speaker shall forthwith lay both reports before the House of Representatives, and thereupon the seat of the member shall be vacant.
(5)
Every person having charge of any hospital in which any member of Parliament is so received or detained, who wilfully commits a breach of subsection (2) shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000.Obviously I think the twat handled the whole thing pretty badly, apparently he just paid $2million for a house in Auckland and now he's fucked. If he had of gone to Bridges and told him he wanted to set up a poodle party like Act in Botany as a coalition partner he would have got all the party leaders perks and all the attention he could get so he'd be sitting pretty .
Now he's unemployable, his reputation is toast , his marriage must be on the rocks and he's in a mental hospital. Thats what you get for listening to Lusk and Slater, its time for the national party management to tell all their mps if they associate with these toxic arseclowns they'll be kicked out. -
@jegga Wait till the conspiracy theorists at The Standard get hold of that factoid. There will be no doubt in their mind that someone in the National Party who’s rich, powerful and utterly evil and unscrupulous, probably an ex-PM say, has pulled the strings to get Ross committed so he can be rolled and silenced.
But in real life, bloody hell, what a train wreck of a meltdown. How can someone crash that hard?

Behind most narcissists is a pretty fragile ego and you can only put up a front like that for so long.
David Seymour has already tweeted some bullshit , so the bar has been raised for the standard. I mean if the nats can convince someone to go to the labour party youth camp and grope four people to discredit labour this sort of thing is probably pretty easy for them. Are you looking for a house in Botany bay? I know where theres one going cheap, bit of a fire sale involving a divorce and being out of a job.

Yeah, nah. It’d cost a fortune to get rid of all the hidden cameras.

@jegga They are truly idiots. The facts don't lie - their party vote is getting smaller and smaller each election, and none of their candidates are going to win a seat. If they got back to what actually matters, the environment, rather than petty niche shit, they might actually have a chance. Otherwise they will be toast next election.

I hope they carry on in this vein, they deserve electoral oblivion . I was never a fan but their earlier incarnation at least had integrity and some sort of environmental focus.
Also so stoked they picked this loser as their co leader, a decent percentage of their vote are the prius driving set who are appalled by her , her foul mouth and idiot ranting .
Btw why does someone who cares about the environment and depletion of the worlds resources treat her uterus as a clown car and pop six kids out of it? -

@jegga Oh for the sweet summer days of Janette and the dude with the hemp suit.
Russell Norman came off as quite reasonable in his latter days. They would kill for him as leader now, if he was a woman; two white males wouldn't do!! If he wasn't such a Jacinda fan boy, a James Shaw led schism of the Greens would be a nice potential coalition party for the Nats in future. But he is so it's a pipe dream

@canefan It's a shame the Greens got taken over by the militant wing. They'll never get anything through in this cycle, Winny enjoys playing with them and then fucking them over too much. And they can't do jack about it because he has all the experience and cunning that they don't. The way they are going, they'll also probably duck under the 5% threshold, especially if Labour meets the socialist ticks that some voters want. Honestly, if either major party introduces some half-decent measures re the environment, the Greens will be gone.

They got the ban on offshore exploration through so now we will have to import gas from overseas when ours runs out , transporting it here will be great for greenhouse emissions.
Apparently Norman took the 2014 election result pretty hard , like a lot on the left he thought they had it sewn up and he and the material girl were all but measuring up the curtains in a beehive office .

The Greens were always a socialist party first and environmentalist party second. What's happened recently is the post modernists/neo-Marxist/intersectionality types have taken over. The kind of people that think everything is a social construct including biological gender, that words don't just offend people but they harm people, that straight white males are the cause of all ills in society etc. More and more people, even traditional socialists, are being put off by that nonsense - that plus Turei's meltdown has them battling for any credibility at all.

Like a roach they just won't die though. I thought the whole Turei fraud thing might kill them off once and for all. I'd like to see an environmental party try to take away any support they have that is disturbed by the left wing militancy but still votes for them in the hope it will help the planet
