Munro, Kane and Corey score all of the runs. Munro is some T20 player.

Probably a par score, will need to bowl and field well.

Here probably slightly above par I'd say. That said, Pakistan were making it look easy, going at 11/over for three overs! Southee, Milne and Patel getting stick.

Great catch from Williamson, shine off th ball and it's all a bit harder now.57/1 after 7

Damn, another 6 after the Munro wicket. A 6 every now and then is relieving the pressure.

We just didn't get enough wickets early on. If you have batsmen at the crease with this equation you should get home nearly every time.

Yeah, kinda. Hitting on this pitch is really hard - but Hafeez has made it look easy. 17 off the over is the killer. Hitting Sodhi though, on this ground is bloody tough, so well done Pakistan. Good side.

Hafeez gets it done. Not quite good enough, Pakistan are tough to beat in the UAE.

Especially in T20s where one performance from an opposition player can take the game away from you. Incredible record.

If only Munroe had stayed in longer, or someone else could have really stepped up. So close.

@Darren-Nicholson missing Guppy in that regard, we don't have the depth to fill that hole when he is unavailable. Looking forward to he and Munro going bananas over the summer.

I don’t think our batting was all that bad, it’s just that we didn’t take wickets and break up the partnerships.

NZ A drew with Pakistan A in their 1st unofficial test. Astle didn't take a wicket in either innings which doesn't bode well for the real test series.

    And we get swept 3-0.

To be fair, looking at the XI we put out for this game it is no wonder. A very B team look about it.

Taylor gets his 42nd ODI 50. Not bad.

Cricinfo text commentary:- That guy 'Bound' was a good bowler in his day. He always tied up an end!
    W

Boult to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, Boult, you beauty! In his first match of the tour, he bags a hat-trick. Good length, swings back in just enough at 141ks, catches Hafeez in the crease, hits the front pad on the knee-roll. Pitching in line, impact in line, and hitting leg stump. Hafeez reviews in vain. Boult becomes the third New Zealander after Morrison and Bound to claim a hat-trick in ODIs. After Taylor seemed to publicly question the legality of his bowling action, Hafeez gets trapped for a first-ball duck. Rather subdued celebrations from Boult. He looks skywards and is embraced by his new-ball partner and friend Tim Southee

    Mohammad Hafeez lbw b Boult 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

    2.3

    W

Boult to Babar Azam, OUT, Boult and the wicketkeeper think they have their man! Umpires Raza and Wilson converge and refer it to the TV umpire. Boult nails a wide yorker, Azam hangs back, jabs his bat down. Did the ball bounce before carrying it to Taylor at first slip? Replays suggest that it did not bounce and flew to first slip. Outstanding chest-high grab from Taylor to go with his half-century. Ahoy, two in two for Boult

    Babar Azam c Taylor b Boult 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

    2.2

    W

Boult to Fakhar Zaman, OUT, Boult angles a back-of-a-length ball into the pads of Zaman. He loses his shape, swings to the leg side, does not make contact with the bat. The ball homes in, grazes the pad, and disturbs the stumps. The plan to Fakhar was clear: cramp him for room. Boult has executed it to perfection

    Fakhar Zaman b Boult 1 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

    Which was better?

    Bondy: White 45, Symonds 69, Bracken 0 (FOW 6,7,8)
    DK: Dev 17, Ankola 0, Mongia 0 (FOW 6,7,8)
    Boult: Zaman 1, Azam 0, Hafeez 0 (FOW 1,2,3)

I think Trent may claim this one.

Edit: Bond does get extra points for dismissing White and Symonds. Especially Symonds.

Nice win for NZ finished off with 3 wickets in 4 balls but it was already NZ's Really well controlled bowling effort on the back of boult having them 8-3 in the 3rd and a winning partnership from Latham and Rosco

Good to see Trent bowling in the 140's.
