    @pakman

    Yes, and no. I got butt kiss.

    But mrs gt12 got two tickets to Semi final 1 (to add to the two she got for semi 2 last time) so we are going to both semis at least....

    Now we just need a connect for the final....

    @gt12 I haven't got anything specific, but did get invited to a "losers'" ballot.
    That said I missed out previously (although have tickets to one semi), so would thereby qualify, but can't log in as ticketing site has 10,000 in the queue!!

    Expecting the worst!

    I applied for 5 games - got 1... NZ v Italy.
    So - including the games I got in previous/priority ballot, got tickets for 4 games:
    NZ v Italy
    Georgia v Fiji
    NZ v Namibia
    Wales v Fiji
    ... with those Fiji games looking tasty after the weekend's result.

    None this time. The queue was merely to tell me I'd failed -- a simple e-mail would have sufficed!

    The vaunted lucky losers' ballot can't be accessed until 15 Jan. Talk about much ado about nothing!!

    And - it's not a ballot... rather a short-lived (2 day) window of first-come/first-serve for those who had bothered to apply but missed out.
    I assume I can trust the Fern to remind me of this closer to the time?

    Ditto. Given the weekend's results I'm going to work on my HK connections for their union dispensation.

    So having put in for 7 games in every ballot I have got a combined sweet fuck all

    The tours are just too expensive to justify so looks as though I will be sparking it

    Dammit forgot about it.

    Does being 26388 make you the biggest loser, loser of all losers or the least loser in the ballot

    No tickets available for the final (well, premium tickets at 2500 a piece available), but I got two for the AB/SA game, and two for the Japan/Scotland game. So, the gt12s will be at four games, including both semis.

    Now, we'll see who we can bribe to try to get some tickets for the final....

    @pakman Big loser, I'd say.

    Three hours in just broke the 13,000 barrier!!

    I logged on to find myself at 104,000
    5 hours later - I've got to 84,000... and I think the system's going down in about 5 minutes.

    Who the fuck scheduled "planned maintenance" on the system right in the middle of this?
    I guess it gives everybody another shot to "get in at the start of the queue" - in about 4.5 hours time.
    Edit - Fuck... the queue isn't going to reset, it's just paused... I'm going to rejoin the queue still at 83,418.
    And - hope that when I get to #1, it's during waking hours, and I realise within my 30 minute window.

    You poor bastards, they must have set it up so that Japanese customers went straight through - I had no line.

    Just chose the games, chose the tickets, and paid!

    Not sure why I wrote this post.

    @Hooroo

    I was hoping I had another reason, but I’ll pay that 🙂

    On that note, at some point we should set up a thread for potential Ferner greetings during the WC.

    I finally reached the front of the queue - at 4:15 in the morning, and slept through my 30 minute window.

    Rejoined the queue again this morning - and it's moving remarkably quickly... but all decent games are sold out. I'm now struggling to decide on any tickets I want.

    And now that I think about - far too late - why didn't I consider this, and try a VPN using a Japanese proxy?
    Could have put your gloating to good use.

    After the restart I got the other semi for a fairly dear price, but, as you said, the finals were ridiculous, with only the top price available.
