There's a thread to solve that argument...
Canโt post pics or gifs from my phone, will prove my point on due course.
I've done it for you. Stowe wins by a country mile

Two pics of Stowe (one young and one recent) and one weird 60s outfitted one of May - deck was stacked.

TBH, it doesn't really matter, we all have different tastes ... this argument reminds me of BSG trying to make out the hot black chick from Game of Thrones was hideous.

I watched Dirty Harry again last night. First time since I saw it at cinema.
Far out its still a good movie.
The period dating (cars clothes etc) is a crack-up though as is the ransom demand "$100,000 where will we get that much money?" FFS put it on yr plastic
Any period piss taking ( however accurate) is countered by Clint fucken Eastwood.
To this day still cinemas coolest fluffybunny in history.

Just checked Rotten Tomatoes to see what critics are saying about Mortal Engines. Wish I hadnโt.

@nepia I'll still watch it regardless
Oh yeah, everyone should be free to see a movie to make up their own mind. At least they'll be re-warned though.

@nepia I watch plenty of shit I sit back afterwards and think WTF, I had been told it was shite...that said, I've seen some crackers that are rated shit too...
Yep, and I watch stuff people tell me is great - which isn't (fuck off La La Land).

@taniwharugby said in Re: Movie review thread...:
@nepia is that the musical with Gosling?
Yup. And Emma Stone. Clearly she wasn't enough to save it....

Well I quite enjoyed Les Mis, Moulin Rouge and The Greatest Showman.....

Seen none of those , they sound like a long episode of glee . I liked Jersey boys though , not sure if it really counts as a musical.

The worse thing about La La Land was that I really liked Whiplash, and apparently the director only made that to get the financing for La La Land.
I like some musicals and dislike others, I just think La La Land is pure average and crazy overhyped and the best 'musical' part of it is Stone song right at the end.
