Moving away from Steven Adams for a bit, I love this Lakers-Pels trade, reckon it improves both teams.

It's great they kept Kuzma, who's the best of the young Laker players. If they land another big free agent in Kyrie/Kemba/Butler, then LA will win it all next year I reckon. AD will be the best player Lebron has ever played with.

    Big questions for me:

Will AD play 4 or 5? Does McGee fit in well to this lineup?
Do LA want to sign another ball-dominant PG in Kemba/Kyrie given Lebron likes to run the offence?
Can Kyrie and Lebron work together again or have bridges been burned?
Does Chris Paul really want out of Houston, and doe he leave money on the table for a shot at a ring in LA?
Who are the 3-and-D veterans LA can sign as role players? They could really do with a Miami-era Shane Battier (or three).

I bet AD won't be double fisting Carona tins while wearing a hideous shirt in Vegas to celebrate any title. Taking mad monday culture to the NBA. What a fucking ambassador.

Has anyone mentioned the 2 million people who turned up for the Raptors championship parade? Two people even got shot so you know it was a great day.

Even Plant Guy came through on his promise:

If you are being serious, itโ€™s clearly Andrew Bogut.

    6 straight seasons almost averaging a double-double.

Bogut is the greatest Australian NBA player of all time.

Ben Simmons is the best Australian NBA player of all time, and will be the greatest within a season or two.

@barbarian that may well eventuate, but something Bogut will always have over Simmons no matter the heights Ben might rise too, Bogut hit a 3 before his 3rd season started ๐Ÿ˜€

His shooting is atrocious. Perhaps he should spend a little more in the gym during the offseason

when there are hot but high maintenance chicks to bang?

Bit going on at the moment. Looks like everyone is out at the Celtics. Rockets rumours still swirling. Lakers have to round out a roster that might end up super top heavy as well.

@mariner4life The Lakers will be interesting. It sounds like the Pels aren't going to delay finalizing the deal so that LA can keep an extra 8M or so on the cap. Will they try and get a near max quality player to make a big 3 and sacrifice depth, or get outside shooting role players like Danny Green or JJ Reddick? I can't see the current situation in HOU as sustainable. CP3 is a prickly character and his and Harden's games are not compatible. I just read that Al Horford plans to leave the C's, so they will lose Irving as well, which represents a significant step back for Ainge's plans

I'm already really looking forward to next season. I reckon at least 12 teams have a conceivable shot at winning the Championship - Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Blazers, Thunder, Jazz, Rockets, Raptors, Celtics, Sixers, Bucks.

Still plenty of free agency moves to happen so it's hard to make a call right now.

Kawhi is the most interesting move, for me. Honestly no idea if he stays or goes.

It will be brilliant for the impartial viewer next season.

With regard to Kawhai, I reckon he might stay for another year. They showed him the love and it matters to him

Sources: Lakers hustling to create max salary slot

Sources: Lakers hustling to create max salary slot

The Lakers were engaging additional teams on Tuesday to take on the contracts of three players on the roster, trying to create a max salary slot, league sources told ESPN.

Lakers trying to clear the decks of everyone except AD, LBJ and Kuz. They will hope to fill a max slot and then try to fill the roster with cheap vets

I don't fully understand why Davis would waive his $4m trade bonus. It's free money for him. Why would he walk away from that?

Yeah nothing too surprising in the draft. Pelicans traded down, giving the number 4 pick to the Hawks in exchange for the 8, 17, 35 and being able to ditch Solomon Hill's contract.

Aron Baynes traded to the Suns for picks. If Horford leaves, they're light on big men. I wonder who the Celtics are looking at? Who did they draft??
