I'll love it if if goes to the Crusaders. My MIL is a dyed in wool Cantab (as in Matt Todd should've been picked ahead of Kaino in 2011) and she hates Jordie. It'll be hilarious to watch her do a complete 180 on this and now become his biggest fluffer.

He's been a bit average for the Canes the last two seasons. Hopefully he can find some form of he heads south.

The crusaders culture will improve him as a player. No shame in changing your views when the facts change.

I hear we have offered Jordie the 12 position.

That's where we developed him. He's probably the best club player I've ever seen at 12, and was outstanding in that position for Canterbury. Seems to get a bit lost on defense at 15.

Havili will stay at fullback and share the role with Jordan. Ennor remains a centre/wing and Goodhue is a natural 13, so don't want him to be our long term 12.

It's a long season, all those guys will get plenty of games. Nobody will throw their toys and demand to leave.

@Cyclops it won't matter if he improves. He could get worse and she will quickly change her tune.

Oh yeah, that was meant to be sarcasm.

@SammyC is that an assumption or did you hear that from someone closely affiliated with the Crusaders?

Jordie's best game this year was the one game he played at 12 for the Canes.

@SammyC If Havili keeps on playing like he did this year (or better), I don't see Jordan get much game time at fullback, except if they move Havili to 12 now and then. Havili played the most minutes of all Crusaders players in 2019. Unless injuries strike, the right wing is going to see a lot of rotation though.

To save everyone the trouble of going throught he whole article, this is what was said about Jordie:

Meanwhile, Barrett's brother Jordie is yet to sign an extension with the Hurricanes, but Lee said they were working on it.

"He's told us that he's not looking anywhere else, but one of the reasons he came here was to play with Beauden, so we just need to sit down with him when he gets home [from All Blacks duty] and talk to him about what he means to the club and where we see him in the future.

    "That's an ongoing dialogue."

Barrett has been rumoured to be mulling a move down south to either the Crusaders or Highlanders.

My source has told me Jordie is still undecided. All 3 mentioned have tabled offers. Ball is in his court

@Tim and blues. Surely it’s between the crusaders and canes. His midfield combo with goodhue at Lincoln was pretty impressive

I'd imagine he'd still be covering 13, as well as making a few wing appearances. Plus as SG says, 23.

I appreciate it's the Crusaders, but would he be happy with a bench role?
