I don't think a few Aussies will hurt in the NPC. I've seen far more Kiwis jump over to Oz for the NRC.

Andrew Kellaway is an interesting pick up for Counties. He didn't live up to the hype, but he should be better than Nigel Ah Wong.

@Steven-Harris not to mention he is eligible for NZ too which is different to some Aussies who have had stints over here.

Disappointing not to see Tom Florence in the mix. Really impressed last year and he outplayed Papalii when they took on Auckland. The Naki do have some quality loosies though.

According to the Ta$man Mako Facebook page, the preseason game between Canterbury and Ta$man will be livestreamed on the Canterbury Rugby Facebook page. The Canterbury Rugby FB page doesn't mention it btw.

@akan004 He definitely played well that day, but none of his other performances came close to that.

Florence is used more as a 7 for the Naki, and won't start ahead of Boshier. Parete isn't playing in this game either, an indication of their depth at lock/loose forward.

What date is the All Black squad for RWC named? The tournament itself is only 8 weeks away, so I'd assume pretty soon after TRC concludes.

In which case, it seems to me that if Liam Squire had much intention of playing at the World Cup, he'd be playing in this game.

@Tim It was 21 - 19 to Taranaki at half time. The reserves must have made the difference. Taranaki didn't score a single point in the second half.
