Well Crotty needs a run so this is no surprise. Dallas McLeod and Patrick Osborne on the wings is surprising though. I also would have thought Ennor would play this game, most likely at centre. He may do next week by which time we'll have had our fourth or even fifth different midfield combination for the season. For the sake of trying to establish some kind of continuity I'd have thought Ennor might have partnered Crotty this week which also would have provided the chance to rest Bateman given he'll be leaned on heavily throughout the campaign. Then Bateman comes back in at 12 with Ennor. But what do I know.

At least Will Tucker gets a start.

Which part of Crotty will he injure this weekend?

Can we start a poll ?

He will be sweet as Southland can't tackle

He can still trip himself up

So what are Canterbury fans thoughts on Osbourne returning? Obviously he's a proven performer at this level but would you rather have him out there or invest in some of the younger guys in the squad despite the slow start to the season?

Don’t mind it. He’s been a good servant for us and now that he didn’t make the RWC squad cut, he’s an addition we could do with.

I think we have a few young players coming through but they are better off in the u/19s for another year.
Osbourne fills a space we have with Gilbert and Ratuva both injured for this season.

@CO is Sam Gilbert out for the season. I’m in Aussie on holiday so haven’t heard that news. He told me last Saturday he’s only pulled his hamstring and out for 2 weeks. Same as Cullen grace

Great try Canterbury. Am LOVING having Osborne back. Good that he's not at home crying over his spilt milk like some others.

Yes. And dare I say it but it's worse during the day when it's 'glarey'! Canterbury used to have an alternative jersey and I actually have one from possibly three season or so ago which is black with a red collar. Spot the Bedean.

@SammyC Yes it was despite the one-sided scoreline. Southland's defence close to the ruck was laughable tbh. Drummond was walking through gaps.

4 for one win, 4 for 4 tries every game and 3 for close losses.

@Stag They've lost 3 games with 2 losing bonus points in each of them, and won against North Harbour with a bonus point.
