    So confident they've named some kind of Jewish Hors d'oeuvre in the 18 jersey.

    Matty McKenzie

    Who's this guy? Any relation to Marty and Damian?

    That's a pretty damn handy 'naki side too. Not quite the same depth I guess...

    @DrivingMaul I don't think he's related to them.

    I remember him from his days at Auckland Grammar. He use to partner up with Rieko Ioane in the midfield.

    Crazy to think they have Hames and Moli unavailable, let Alex Ainley go, and only lost Pete Samu after last season.

    I love that Taranaki played 'Baby Shark' as the Mako ran out. Brilliant.

    But that won't help them today.

    I wish someone would put a silencer on that Naki fan that is shouting non-stop. He does it at every home game and I've seen (and heard) him at a few away games, too. I know he's not 100% in the upper-chamber, but it's annoying as f*ck.

    Hopefully Leon grabs Sione Havili to take Jed Brown's spot at the Blues. He's put on some weight and looking like one of the better opensides in the comp.

    Hopefully we also go for Tima Faingaanuku too.

    That last try came from a dopey high tackle from the Taranaki captain.

    Lineout is the huge difference in this game.

    @taniwharugby Yep, he should have passed. Had 2 players supporting him. Great kick from Hunt to Tima Fainga'anuku, though.

    Mitch Hunt is doing the best reincarnation of Bob Hiller seen in a wee while when it comes to the time it takes for him to complete a goal kick attempt.

    @KiwiMurph Yeah - Parkinson and Squire are hugely tall first and third options at NPC level. Taranaki struggling to find somewhere to throw.

    Taranaki bringing plenty of attitude on defence (a few less high shots will be good) - Ta$man taking their chances so far this week though. Mitch Hunt having a slightly ropey day with his goal-kicking.

    Levi Aumua proving a handful in the midfield, Ethan Blackadder prominent as usual.

    Good game, so far.
