Hopefully Leon grabs Sione Havili to take Jed Brown's spot at the Blues. He's put on some weight and looking like one of the better opensides in the comp.

Hopefully we also go for Tima Faingaanuku too.

That last try came from a dopey high tackle from the Taranaki captain.

Lineout is the huge difference in this game.

@taniwharugby Yep, he should have passed. Had 2 players supporting him. Great kick from Hunt to Tima Fainga'anuku, though.

Mitch Hunt is doing the best reincarnation of Bob Hiller seen in a wee while when it comes to the time it takes for him to complete a goal kick attempt.

@KiwiMurph Yeah - Parkinson and Squire are hugely tall first and third options at NPC level. Taranaki struggling to find somewhere to throw.

Taranaki bringing plenty of attitude on defence (a few less high shots will be good) - Ta$man taking their chances so far this week though. Mitch Hunt having a slightly ropey day with his goal-kicking.

Levi Aumua proving a handful in the midfield, Ethan Blackadder prominent as usual.

    Good game, so far.

    Good try by the Naki.

Chris Harris is doing pretty well at fullback for Taranaki. Has a bit of flair.

She's a tall line out when you start with Queer, PPP, Squire and Smallbladder

was just gonna say ref has let lots of 'blocking' at rucks go, then he blows up an obstruction

@Siam Former Japanese test halfback. Very impressive in both his outings so far - fast and accurate pass as well.

@Dice - yeah - that Potroz had a good game. I haven't seen him before. Looks like he'd be a good Super rugby acquisition for someone, if he's not a squaddie already.

Ta$man probably should have plugged the corners a bit more in the final 20 minutes. Lots of attacking with ball in hand - usually until someone got isolated and penalized.

I love that Taranaki played 'Baby Shark' as the Mako ran out. Brilliant.

But that won't help them today.

    Very nice by the 'Naki.

But, channeling a bit of Bohemian Rhapsody in return..."And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust"! 🙂
