He’s a solid unit that Raka.

Tonga holding up okay for the first half hour.

    Nice skill there from Raka.

The ref was holding a committee meeting and the French halfback takes a quick kick and they score.

Tongan attack lacks organisation and any sort of fluency.

France on their way to setting up a barn-storming last pool match with the English. Winner of that goes into a likely quarter with Australia I believe and on same side of draw as NZ. Starting to get juicy ain't it?

@ACT-Crusader How's it even possible to play on the. The ref didn't even show where the mark is. The reffing is getting worse by the minute

Ref had his back turned as well.

Should goal line defenders be able to lead with their heads? Seems a worrying trend. Try to Tonga.

@ACT-Crusader Yeah Takalua and Faiva aren't the best there. To Be fair Faiva is out of Auckland Club Rugby so it's hard to expect too much from him. I think Fosita should come on for him however. At least Fukofuka would test the defence and give them something to think about when he comes on.

The captain is trying hard but it’s all one out stuff.

The rumble up by the forwards was good that led to the try but I’m not sure if anyone else noticed that the ruck right on the goal line just prior to the try there were some willing clean outs by the Tongan forwards.

I thought a couple of them may have been referred upstairs. There was a big swinging arm high towards a French player as well.

@ACT-Crusader Suprised they missed it tbh as they pulled up Lousi earlier on for a no arms clean out, as well as penalise Lousi for a no arms tackle which I thought was very harsh as well.

The earlier no arms clean out was the worse of the two. It was a cheap shot into the ribs of a player prone on the ground.

17 - 14 France after 48 minutes. Who would have thought?! Hope Tonga can keep this up!

That and TJP's effort are the tries of the tournament so far. Sort of thing to watch over and over again

@Victor-Meldrew I'm sure there are a few more. I've watched so much rugby since the start of the RWC (RWC games, Mitre 10 Cup, NZ Schools), that I can't remember them all anymore.
