Might be late to the party here but Marianne on Netflix was bleeeeeping scary!! Just finished it and I'm scared to turn out the lights! Dragged out a bit towards the end but some good frights throughout. 8/10 "Va Chier!"
Started watching this with the Mrs. The scares are good but damn the characters are annoying, I'm 100% rooting for the witch
Are you watching the dubbed version? I did and I actually wish I had watched the subtitled version, love the French accent, although it may distract from the jumps a bit having to read subs.
I found the actors very annoying or it may have been the American dub actors that were annoying! Someone or something was annoying either way. It also drags on a bit towards the end but the end was interesting... Maybe more to come!? -
@RLx31 Yeah the dub version, that might be right, dialogue very disconnected from the emotion although it doesn't explain some weird and annoying character actions. Only 4 eps in so might move to subs going forward. Last episode had some great jumps in it.

Yea I don't mind watching stuff with subs but it does unfortunately detract from the atmosphere as you are reading and yep dubbed versions don't always convey the emotions.

I can't watch dubbed versions of shows, it drives me mad if the audio doesn't match the lip movement.

HBO greenlights a TV version of Nicolas Winding Refn's Maniac Cop reboot
Refn will direct the series, alongside Universal Soldier: Regeneration’s John Hyams, who had previously been tapped to direct the film version of the project.

The Old woman was my favourite character, shes got to be one of the best horror characters I've ever seen!

Hope it's the Drive version of Refn and not the Only God Forgives version, otherwise known as the how far can I disappear uo my own arse version.

Jeremy Corbett, Guy Williams, Ursula Carlzon
assume that is NZ on AIR funded?

Been watching it for a couple of years. Great fun in the British tradition of meaningless inanity
There is a NZ version coming out next year which if it is Jeremy Corbett, Guy Williams, Ursula Carlzon etc doesn't bear thinking about
I like how NZ TV are making targeted shows solely designed to offend @jegga .

I expect after that, they can almost use the same headline again...

@dogmeat yeah I've known of it for a couple of years but never really bothered to watch it. We happened to sit down and watch episode 1 of season 7 a couple of months ago. We're now up to date...
Rose Matafeo is in the latest season.
@Snowy get a VPN, it's on Dave over here so uktv network, free to air.

@RLx31 Finished Marrianne, watched the last 4 episodes with subs and it was much improved. Really good watch, genuinely scary. Interesting ending alright!

I just read they are killing off Guy Williams show and cutting 7 days back to 12 episodes. I see that as a win even though I never watch them .
