Yeah well pretty much a standard spring saturday so...

    • net session with the lad in the morning
    • home for a coffee and finish off the days form before loading a handful of long winded multi bets
    • arvo at home pretending to do odd jobs around the house, lawns etc while really knocking back beers and punting on anything with 4 legs and a long nose running around caulfield or randwick and if I'm struggling that morphetville or eagle farm might get some attention too.
    • 530/6pm usually end with a couple of boys from next door turning up to get their kids home for dinner but end up having a beer or three while I spout about the sport of kings and how good spring racing is. Make them stay for the last leg of a multi.
    • potentially angry bbq around 630pm following my lack of belief of a redzel three-peat
    • settle in to a bit of england vs aus between blowing the last of my cash on the wizard of the west at ascot
    • AB's game - probably on the couch with me and my nerves being comforted by abusive texts from aus mates and/or UK family (depending on outcome of previous game)

    Yeah same old saturday really

that is so much like how my normal saturday goes

but i stay the fuck out of Morphetville

I'll be online here as don't have access to live stream of any kind (Fibre to the node is woeful around here) but as I did the same for the 2015 RWC, this is a good omen. I'll sort out actual replays via the usual channels later on.

I got offered a ticket, but it’s going with a work friend who isn’t a kiwi, and might be supporting Ireland.

There’s a strong chance I may punch them in the face if we lose.

    Should I go anyway?

Any opportunity to punch an Irish supporter!

It's the only language they understand

Yeah, up for the England game, get some good coffee on, say "oh dear" and "uh oh" lots in the bits where England are doing bad or losing to give Bonesetta a taste of her own medicine.

Cook up a big breakfast between games as I'll be too fidgety to sit around. Prolly crack a beer or cider.

Watch the game. Exciting stuff hey! After that I'm supposed to be heading to the club for 125th anniversary celebrations, but that will most likely be decided by the result of the game. Es-fucken-pecially if England win and we don't.

Then back home early evening absolutely sloshed to finish off cooking dinner for some of "our" friends - one of whom is a recovering alcoholic. This will be fun.

    Yeah same old saturday really

Do me a favour and help a brother out and flick me a few tips come Saturday as I won't have any time for form

We've got a caulfield cup to fit in there too!

    I won't see much racing I doubt. 😞

The heart bleeds for you Hooroo, poor wee thing out there playing golf on your boys trip!!! :face_with_stuck-out_tongue:

he's got it tough aye. The races is his missus' thing, so he is forced to go just to spend time with her. Then it's boys weekends playing golf, when he needs time out from supporting her

    Dunno how he copes.

At least one mod should stay sober enough to ban every irish poster and block all irish ips should the result go the wrong way.

Then they can go and punch and irishman.

He's playing Kauri Cliffs. I actually do feel sorry for him, I have never lost so many golf balls in my life.

I am playing golf at Kauri Cliffs

Take a lot of golf balls.

Just jinx myself, this is the second time I have played it and the first time I got round with only losing 3.

    Bloody show off.

I'll probably go to a pub and drink Czech or German pilsner, and US or Danish IPAs. I will smell the beer and I will announce that I am smelling the beer.

@mariner4life When they line up penalties I will sigh and inform my companions that "I'm really more into torpedo style goal-kicking these days; you've probably never heard of it."
