Choat is improving quickly. I hope he gets a Blues contract. His defensive work is huge and he's developing a partnership with Papali'i
If that's the Auckland 7: looks like he's about 80kg but plays like a fucking machine.
Turning point for Ta$man was actually the Japanese replacement scrum half. The ranga who started was awful.

That’s him but he’s not small. He’s listed at 104kg, I’ve seen him up close and that seems about right.

Compared to some of those units out there, he looked small. Solid muscle and bone

TJ is an Auckland supporter?
Why do you ask - does he seem like it?
Balls out

He and Hames are both staunch Ta$man - and criticized regularly for it!

It's fine for TJ to be staunch Ta$man, it's his pro Canterbury and anti Auckland/Blues stances that are annoying.

@Chris-B spiteful tackle
Yeah - actually, I'm just watching bits of the replay. Papalií went on with that and his twisting Jordan's leg looked intentional.
Earlier, when we got our first penalty kick, Ruru blatantly tackled Jordan without the ball - otherwise he would have been alongside Hunt and scoring under the posts. Given the Auckland prop dived on the tackled Hunt from the wrong side to slow our ball, probably should've been a penalty try and two yellow cards!

Tough loss. Watched the game again and the team put in a great effort, especially the starters. It's too bad that our subs came on and added very little. Outside of Adams, most of the subs had a negative impact on the game, especially Abel. If you watch the last 20 minutes, almost all the missed tackles and mistakes during that time were by our bench players. Their bench was much better and made key plays at the end of the game, which was probably the difference.
I think both packs canceled each other out for the most part. I think our pack struggled to get much go forward for most of the game, but despite that, our backs were pretty dangerous throughout the match. We definitely made a mistake not having Sotutu somewhere in the 23 though.
The way we corrected things in the last few weeks, I'm hopeful of next season. We were just a totally different team late in the season.
