My favourite two NPC teams. Between them they have lost 8 of the last 13 NPC finals. It will be weird for one of them to be the winners.

I’m not expecting much given our Finals history I just hope the pressure gets to Ta$man and they choke

Ta$man are favourites but their form has dipped a bit

The betfair odds of 4.7 for a Wellington win are tempting

Ta$man looked worryingly lacklustre in that last game so this game could go either way.

@Duluth Yeah - need to wait to see who is unavailable for Ta$man.

Blackadder certainly out, I think - dislocated shoulder- and a big loss, because he's at the heart of the forward pack.

Some random on the Ta$man Facebook page says Taufua says he's fine and good to go, but seeing is believing on that one. Covering both Blackadder and Taufua (with Frizell also gone) will be tough - probably Fox-Matamua and Norris, but that reduces the dominance of our loosies.

Who knows with Will Jordan - a knee injury thanks to some dirt from Papali'i - but, he at least tried to run it off on Saturday, so hopefully might be a strain that recovers over the week.

And Quin Strange similarly looked to have a leg injury and wasn't running in the final few minutes.

I think the only injury worry for Wellington is Wes Goosen, if fit he Wellington will boast a potent backline - forwards just need to front because it didn't turn out too well last time when they didn't.

For those in Aus - whilst not live on Fox (it clashes with the NRC final) - it looks like it will be live on Kayo.

I won't be bothering with the NRC final - saw a bit of the comp this year and it has definitely waned IMHO.

    Go the Mako.

I legitimately didn't even know it was on, there was zero chat about it. Not even a murmur on the Fox Sports news.

@mariner4life We get one game live on one of the Sky Sports Channels most Saturdays and I usually watch the Sydney Rays games there or on https://www.rugby.com.au/competitions/nrc where all games are streamed live as my nephew is in that team. It is a bit of a grind as they are not overly good, especially on defence. The standard is nowhere close the the Mitre10 Championship, particularly in the basic skills area. Still you have to make the effort where family is concerned.

Mighty Mako team for the final.

Jordan Taufua being fit to play is a surprise but a major bonus.

Great to see Will Jordan and Quin Strange good to go.

I'm more confident after seeing this team!

Don't forget your kicking boots this weekend Mitch!

Wellington will be keen to finally get one over the line after last winning in 2000.

So long ago it was Lomu vs Vunibaka

Big weakness at loosehead for Ta$man, be interesting to watch how Wellington targets it.

Yeah - we're missing Atu Moli and Kane Hames at loosehead - down to our third and fourth choices.

Luckily Tim and Wyatt each have a few test caps to fall back on! šŸ™‚
