The bolded bit is the thing. Surely the foundation is a quasi charitable enterprise and not financially linked to Hillary's campaign?

None of the other stuff surprises me really. The idea of normal relationships in the ME went out of the window decades ago, if it ever existed. Far too many vested interests and it's amazing that someone (or some country) that is mutually aligned with our (or the US, or Europe, or Russia) interests latterly becomes part of a much wider problem. Fuck knows what the answer is - and that's the thing really, the whole region is pretty fucked up by our standards and then we come along and fuck it up a bit more every few years.
-

I would suggest you take a look at Carly Fiorina & her comments on planned parenthood to win votes.

Hillary, like Romney, Jeb, Obama, Rubio, any mainstream candidate, will lie through her teeth to get funding, and take funding from anyone. Because American politics is all about funding. But she (like the others) has limits over the levers she will pull to get headlines. The likes of Cruz, Jesse Jackson, Fiorina, Trump etc do not have those limits.

Theres a LOT out there worse than Hillary. Hell Dick Cheney worked at Halliburton. Became VP. Left Haliburton - with a Haliburton pension & stock options. Handed Iraq to Halliburton on cost plus deals. Donated his Haliburton option profits, to his own foundation. Tony Blair has made millions advising anyone who will pay - including the Saudis.

But I'll take financial shadiness over lying about aborted fetuses being cut up alive & defending terrorism, or deporting 5 year olds anytime. Money is predictable & rational, idiology scares me.
-
