@voodoo good point!
should we start a thread with a poll to determine which poster should be our Prophet, and we will let him or her tell us how it all started?
You called?
there's already a middle eastern prophet (two i guess) so lets get a bit of diversity aye?
A prophet from Eastbourne would be quite diverse, I reckon. I can't think of any others?
Soothsayers also read the bones for fortune telling, however we have all seen some of his predictions so might be difficult to build a following...
The Prophet of Palmy has a nice ring to it don't you think?
Kind of witchsmeller pursuivant-esq

The prophet in Palmy is the Devil.

The prophet in Palmy is the Devil.
Fair call.
A challenge:
Name all of the good things that have come from Palmy?@voodoo seems like a nice enough bloke, but then he is from Palmy and calls himself Voodoo. Hmmm.
Anyway, we seem to have digressed. Does anyone know what happened to Lee Grant?
Oh yeah and how about that universe thing? Actually to maintain a modicum of relevance to the thread, meteor showers:
At the shower's peak on or near July 28, 2020, the rather faint Delta Aquariid meteors will be best seen in the predawn hours, after the moon has set. You'll still be seeing Eta Aquariids when the Perseids peak in August. That is in NZ and they are usually worth watching. Obviously need a clear night, or be at altitude.

A challenge:
Name all of the good things that have come from Palmy?- Golden Takeaways, you can still get a fish burger with 4 pieces of fish in it for $4
- Sam Whitelock
That's probably it, but it's a sweet quinella.

I'll give you Sam Whitelock, but I am dubious about the fish burger.
Next.

What about this guy?
Although probably too easy to confuse him as Middle Eastern.
Maori jesus!
I thought Paul Tito was the Maori Jesus
we don't elevate gingers to any sort of title
Incorrect. "Smells of wee" is often a title applied. Or is that a sobriquet?

I am sure that @higgins will agree with me, but the best thing about Palmerston North is that they have this event every year. Here is a video from last year.
These guys are the real modern gladiators. Putting body and 100-200K machines on the line, teams racing for their club and their mates. And they do get hurt - see 20 seconds in, when 87B Thomas Stanaway goes for a ride up the wall - he separated 4 ribs from his spine in that hit
-
@Stockcar86 Don't have quite as fond memories of last year but the two immediately preceding that then most definitely yes!
-
fuck i miss teams racing.
