Just another example of how animals adapt that’s all. Now if they triple in size and start hanging out under wharves.....

I am sure that @higgins will agree with me, but the best thing about Palmerston North is that they have this event every year. Here is a video from last year.

These guys are the real modern gladiators. Putting body and 100-200K machines on the line, teams racing for their club and their mates. And they do get hurt - see 20 seconds in, when 87B Thomas Stanaway goes for a ride up the wall - he separated 4 ribs from his spine in that hit

My young offsider at work is engaged to a young bloke who just won the NZ Superstocks. We're all booked in to see her driving her first Demo Derby race at the end of Feb. Fun times.

Has physicist's gravity theory solved 'impossible' dark energy riddle?

Has physicist's gravity theory solved 'impossible' dark energy riddle?

Prof Claudia de Rham’s ‘massive gravity’ theory could explain why universe expansion is accelerating

Maths theory only, but make more sense than some invisible shit that makes up most of the universe!

@JC I'm a superstock rep at Meeanee. Was stoked when Randy T won. He is really a nice guy. Down to earth, not up himself like some othr drivers.

@Stockcar86 Randy’s other half is a gem. I haven’t met a Randy yet, but I understand I’m on his bucket list.

@Crucial He (fore)saw the amount of shit kicked up because of a shortage of housing in New Zealand and didn't want to be the future target - so got ahead in his building programme!

@taniwharugby Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

@Chris-B never done that drive, but google tells me this is like 15km or so...where I am to AUckland is like 176km and half of Aucklands 20,000,000 population trying to get home at the same time...your drive is peanuts compared to that

Anybody else see this last night?

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12305255

I live out in the sticks so not much light pollution and it was amazing. We were just sitting outside with some friends drinking too much and wife says what the hell is that? Perfect string of lights slowly going roughly north to south in a straight line that disappeared over the horizon. Then a little while later, a west to east line that faded out pretty much right over our heads as each satellite lost light from the sun I suppose.

My mate knew about the Starlink launch, so we knew what it was, but it was very cool to see.
