Covid-19 and keeping fit

Thought a few of you might benefit from this... 😉But seriously there are no excuses when there are lots of free resources to work out from home, I've had a lazy weekend and less active week working from home. I can see how it would be easy to put on a few lbs and get down, need to keep moving. Tomorrow's a fresh start going plan a routine for midday I think to perk me up for the afternoon.

Had to move all the reformers around in our pilates studio so everyone is 1.5m apart which has result in us now having a couple of them in the garage so looks like I will be doing some pilates now with my own personal instructor!
Also managed a good week of riding last week - great exercise in isolation. 86km for the week which is a fair bit for me and a fair bit of it off road too.

We're ok to go for a run or a ride as long as we keep 2m right, even at level 4?
That's my interpretation

We ordered a large oval springfree trampoline last week. Realised the way things were going and wanted it for the kids but also for me and the mrs!
We have a concept 2 rower in the mancave too.
Run most days with the buggy to get daughter to sleep and I bike ride 100km plus a week.
Was in Richmond park yesterday and made sure I didn't draft or ride with anyone but there were a lot of group rides still going and you can see them stopping together in big clusters so screwing the social distance thing right up.
Frustrates me as they will get us all banned when cycling can be a brilliant self isolation exercise if you are not being silly!

@Davesofthunder pictures of Richmond park this morning (from yesterday) were pretty bad....almost Bondi beach bad...

If we can't get outside I'm going to kill one of my kids.
Make sure it's the fastest one so you get some decent exercise in while chasing them.
Not the chubbiest to fill out the freezer?
-
Yeah, I was super unimpressed.
Loads of groups walking and clustering around car parks.
Its frustrating because if done sensibly it is a great way to get out and stay healthy.
The group bike riders annoyed me the most as it is so easy on a bike to maintain plenty of distance if you just choose not to draft or group ride. (And I want to keep riding. I can step out my door for a couple of hours and interact with nobody yet get great exercise!)

I have a pull-up/dip station, about 100kg of weights, punch bag, treadmill and rower...expect to be ripped by the end of 4 weeks...or I'll pull a muscle tomorrow and be fat AF by the end....on a knife edge really.

You'll get him eventually, so may as well save him/her to when you're low on energy as well.

Sounds like you've been through this before???

I'm walking a lot - about 20-25 miles a week. We are pretty isolated so often don't see anyone which is a big plus with self-distancing.
Slight medical condition means no more daily press-ups/
squats sessions for a week or two (I'm the furthest thing from a gym-bunny imaginable.. -
Didn't see this thread originally: was in the fitness thread which I don't subscribe.
For why it's worth I parked the gym last week. Taken to early morning walks instead.
20mins from here to beach, 20 mins along then return.
Serious design fault on the return leg being rather steep hill. Which is kinda good but not enjoyable.
Issue is it's outside, without aircon, and this morning, in the rain... waiting for it to clear...

But that wonderful feeling when you crest the hill and the burning sensation changes to a self-righteous glow..
