From my can of Coke Zero on my desk ... its sweetener component is 951 and 950

I think Diet is just the 950 ?aspartame? one ...

Real coke has the evil fattening sugar stuff ...

I remember now they were Duff Regular, Duff Lite and Duff Raspberry. They all came from one vat but were poured from three seperate taps off the same pipe.

Personally I prefer Pepsi max to Coke Zero

But Zero is much better than diet coke or diet pepsi

pfft, only poofs drink non-full sugar drinks!! :fishing:

Which might explain why I am 95kg... :shifty: actually have lost a few kg's myself, but purely from doing exercise and don't drink a great deal of that anyways, go through a few litres of water at work though a day

I was at a first aid course a few months ago and I had a 600ml bottle of coke zero during the morning session and walked in after lunch with a new bottle of coke zero. This lady, who mustve been about 130kg, standing at about 5 foot 3 said to me from across the room "another bottle of that diet stuff? dont you know diet fizzy drink causes brain cancer" So I said, "I guess brain cancer is better than ending up obese with diabetes", to muffled laughter across the room. Didnt really think about how it came across til after I sat down but I guess it explained why she didnt talk to me the rest of the course.

Someone told me it has more caffeine than regular Coke, and is aimed directly at Pepsi Max.
[/quote]

Yeah, Coke Zero has more caffeine than normal Coke, but less than Diet Coke.

I'm also a fan of Coke Zero, and get a fair bit of shit for it from my mates. Not as much as I got when I drank Diet Coke though. I didn't like Diet Coke at first, but give yourself time to get addicted, and soon enough you'll be craving it just like you did normal coke.

Every now and then when I buy a combo they'll give me real coke by mistake. I consider taking it back, but then I get that nasty water behind the eyes thing happening and it feels so good - just a bit more, then I'll take it back. Then, oh what the hell I never get real coke, may as well make the most of it. Man I want a coke.

totally sold on the zero myself - had an ex flatmate who loved his fizzies and we got him on the zero versions (coke and sprite) combined with exercise he lost heaps nearly 20kg... I'm not a hot drink fan (coffee etc) but I need the caffeine to start the engine during the day...
I think it tastes like crap. It tastes nearly the same as normal coke when drinking, but I can't tolerate the aftertaste.

Anyway, im completely off fizzy drinks for the first few months of my diet (unless theres booze in it).

In passing, it's hell on wheels for stripping grease off things like chains and engines. Stick the offending article in Diet Coke or equivalent for a day or so, wash down with soapy water, away you go!

Not sure it's so great for humans, as a result, but what the hell... <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

fark i'd love to see some stats on how zero is doing against regular....

just thought that when i was in the supermarket the other day and it the shelf with normal coke hadn't been touched and the zero shelf was getting near empty

must have a pretty close market share i reckon

Yeah, it seems unusual to see someone drinking normal coke now. Coke zero was marketed as a diet drink for men, it definately seems to be reaching its target audience pretty well.
