    @Chris

    Friday, when both sides name their teams to play on Sunday.

    A-ha!

    I'm absolutely amped. Meeting a bunch of people for drinks over lunch, train to the ground, and then train home afterwards. Cannot wait for live rugby; it feels like a lifetime ago.

    Also, we can finally argue about proper, meaningful stuff here instead of fripperies like politics, infectious diseases and economic conditions.

    Roll on Sunday!

    Friday. Fucking Friday. That is just not right.
    Oh, FFS the world really has gone crazy.

    As for proper rugby "discussion" - I think we might have forgotten how to do that.
    Is Akira playing (that is usually a "starter" for 10).

    F&ck! Don't tell me he got that playing golf. I guess that means Tiatia comes into Fullback. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/121778432/hurricanes-confirm-jordie-barrett-out-of-super-rugby-aotearoa-clash-with-blues

    Given how Jordie performed in the last Blues-Canes game I wouldn't be too upset if I was a Canes supporter at that news....

    I was expecting O’Keeffe and Williams to be the refs so it is strange that O’Keeffe and Pickerill are involved in both matches as ARs/TMOs.

    The headline for the game isn't as cool now though, Jordie vs Beauden. Coles to fuck the game up by targeting Beaudie and get yellow carded twice and sent off. Beaudie to have the game of his life and score 7 tries and nail all his kicks. Blues by 40.

    @mariner4life was right all along, that Beauden Barrett bloke is massively overrated. Fuck that guy.

    That said, Blues by plenty.

    Canes will be alright, for every piece of Beauden brilliance, James Parsons will be right there to f it all up.

    we've finally cracked the code to getting kiwis to turn up to live sport. all we have to do is deprive them of absolutely everything for 3 months first

    A tactic used by the wife, consistently.
