Our campaign is essentially over after losing to Nepal. We probably have to beat India and Ireland to go through.

Nepal borders India. Apparently cricket there is of a similar scale to India. It is just a lack of relative population and poverty which holds them back. However, you have to be disappointed with that result. Three run outs too.

After the controversy with the mankad vs Zimbabwe the Windies U19s upset India to win the WC. Who says cheats never prosper?

We lost the ELEVENTH place pay off to SA by a 140 runs

We managed to lose to Nepal and Afghanistan. Pathetic.

They didnt cheat. I find all the bitching about the WI pretty annoying. The batsmen have enough things weighted in their favor, why the fuck should they get a head start in running between the wickets as well?

I was being facetious. We should all be happy that India didn't win!

The finishing orders of the teams is quite revealing

West Indies

India

Bangladesh

Sri Lanka

Pakistan

England

Namibia

Nepal

Afghanistan

Zimbabwe

South Africa

New Zealand

Ireland

Scotland

Canada

Fiji

Not sure what it means for the future - but generally I reckon the rule is, future world stars will appear in this tournament and the team they play in will do well. Which suggests that this vintage is not going to be in the Black Caps in 3-4 years time.

4 sub-continent teams in the top 5. That's why I wouldn't bet against India winning the T20 WC at home and the likes of England, SA, Aust and NZ struggling on those pitches.

They didn't qualify. Australian age grade cricket is going down the tubes.

Or they pulled out due to security concerns in Bangladesh.

An excellent tournament, NZ have a good young bowler in Gibson coming through. But the Windies have a 3 players that are very good: Pope, Springer and Joseph. The Indians have a guy called Washington and he will be excellent in years to come and England a leg spinner who does give it a rip.
