@mariner4life Be better if there was a crowd to give it some atmosphere. A fitting end to a high scoring game at home against Chelski.

Their entire fan base who aren’t mid life football warriors who’ve never set foot in Liverpool were there to see it!

it was also nice that the Chelsea Football Club was there to get a good look as well. I'm sure they enjoyed it

Was a good game to watch, definitely. Players a bit young to support, but given none of them are from a Liverpool, highly likely a few of them are closet supporters ...

pretty much everyone is, deep down. This Means More.

Most things mean more when it's 30 years between drinks ... It was always going to take something special to beat the All Blacks 24 years without a world cup ... Congrats, your home town team did it!!!

Pretty surprised at both results. Happy to be playing for some silverware this season though.

And that's our only hope for Europe.

The last week sums up Arsenal's season. Beat Liverpool and Man City in the space of 4 days and then lose to Aston Villa.

At least Man City will be happy to keep their EPL points record. 🙂

I'm looking forward to the CL games.

Man U and Chelski make up the top 4. Leicester completely shit the bed and drop from comfortable 3rd to 5th.

Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich go down.

Newcastle, West Ham, Villa and Palace set for another year of the 12-17th treadmill.

Liverpool end on 99 points, 18 in front of City. 33 in front of Man U and Chelski for those playing at home...

Seriously though, City's stats are outrageous. Their defense is really good, and they scored 105 goals! it won't take much for them to win the league next year.

    Bournemouth win and then lose.

A big game tomorrow morning (NZT) - Cardiff City vs Fulham.

    🙂

First 20 minutes were a bit concerning but Fulham came into the game more and more. Two absolutely gorgeous goals has put them in control but it's not over yet. An early goal to Fulham at the Cottage should kill it though.

Mitrovic will hopefully be back for Thursday as well.

    C'mon Swansea

Great free kick from a man called Neeskens who really had to play football with that name. We don't want Cardiff back and hopefully Fulham have learned some lessons from the last time (but knowing football clubs, probably not!)

Yes it is very exciting. Harrogate is one of the smaller clubs at that level and Notts about the biggest so it is a bit of a David v Goliath contest. We really need to go up - then it is just 3 more seasons until we're back at the top level!

Brentford win 3-1 in the second leg and win 3-2 on aggregate so it's looking good for a West London derby in the playoff final.

@KiwiPie You had to say that didn't you - asshole.

Squeaky bum time as Cardiff go 2-1 up early in 2nd half 3-2 to Fulham on aggregate. Away goals don't count.

A near miss for Cardiff at the end. 3rd vs 4th in the playoff for the final promotion spot which is fair.

@dogmeat Fulham hang on but were outplayed for most of the match.

Brentford must be heavily favoured. Did the double against Fulham 1-0 at home and 2-0 at The Cottage Had a GD of 42 across the season compared with Fulham's 16. Which says it all really. Fulham play very attractive football but just lack that last 5% in both penalty areas - despite having the top scorer in the Championship - Mitrovic who is in doubt for Tuesday having missed both play off games. Plus the Bees have an extra day to prepare.

Still we have a starters chance

@dogmeat Haha. Never in doubt! I'd like to see Brentford go up just to see another team in the top flight that haven't been there in my lifetime. If it's Fulham then that's 2 bouncing straight back up and at least one of them will go straight back down. Brentford probably will to but they will be a novelty

@KiwiPie You are DEAD TO ME!

Seriously, Brentford would be a nice story, but they have way less chance of surviving in the Premiership than Fulham. They obviously don't see themselves as a top echelon club. I mean they build a brand new stadium with capacity of 17,000 FFS.

Whoever doesn't go up the predators will start circling. If it is Fulham I hope they have learned how to recruit and we won't see 9 transfers on deadline day again.

BTW The Baggies spent two years in the Championship

As an aside we have now said goodbye to the only ground (Griffin Park) with a pub at every corner of the ground. Their was a fifth pub (now closed) about another 30 metres down Ealing Road - The Bricklayers Arms. The Bricklayers was the club room (and training ground) of the last rugby team I ever played for and also the last place I ever worked behind the bar - one Xmas Day when they were swamped under.

    GO FULHAM!
