Why isn't Williams refereeing this weekend? He hasn't had the whistle since Rd 5.

All over for the Canes really if Saders get up this weekend. Chiefs have to win sometime surely?

Hoping Highlanders tip up the Blues too

Only thing certain is that Pickerell won't be ref for either of the Chiefs remaining games.

Dude, welcome to what the Blues have experienced for the last five years. Forum advice to me over that time was "Nothing to do with refs, your team sucks".

@Kirwan Including the incident where Piers Francis was knocked out by a stiff arm to the jaw, and the opposing player only got a yellow card.

It would be a looooong thread if we started listing these sorts of things.

couldn't say this out load but might be able to type it....i think it would be good for NZ rugby if the blues can win this or at least make sure they come second, that huge potential supporter base needs to be mobilised for whatever the new format looks like

@Kiwiwomble Yep, gonna be very important to have big support in Auckland, especially when they shift the Highlanders franchise licence up to North Harbour.

Wasn't it 33,000+ last weekend at Eden Park? They might sell it out for the last match.

Interesting that people go to the afternoon matches too. NZR might be wise to focus on crowd numbers not just broadcasting deals for fan engagement.

@Snowy 100% agreed, i was meaning build and solidify on the current great support, dont want this support drifting away, theyre more likely to get a big crowd to the first game next season if they finish well this season

What's really awful is that I'm hoping the Waratahs win to increase rugby's popularity in Australia. Vile.

ive been reading some commentary on the football in the uk, there has been a lot of talk about how the crowds or lack of them affect the viewing even on TV, people just saying it hasn't been the same and a lot easier to turn it off, the current turnouts for SRA has to help when it comes to "selling" any future product t the NH markets

It's amazing Superm... I mean Akira Ioane didn't get the Blues over the line more. Probably too tired from playing so goddamn well so goddamn often, poor bubba.

Yeah that’s right get rid of the team that has set the standard to make the comp weaker makes sense Not.
How about the other teams get better which some teams are,to lift the whole standard.
