Biden was just asked about his son without a teleprompter
At least he didn't get angry this time. But he diverts to Trumps family. I wish the interviewer had asked like what. Give one example where Trumps sons or daughters (or larger family) have received money in this way since Trump has become President.

Exact same way or another form of nepotistic earning favours. There are plenty on that list.

Reports coming out of the White House are that Trump is favoring Amy Coney Barrett.
If so, the left goes NUTS!!
She is hard core social conservative and anti-abortion.
If the Republicans try to do the vote b4 the election day, the left goes NUTS!!!!! NUTS!!!!!Are you anti abortion Frank?

@Kiwiwomble
Before a certain point in pregnancy, yes.
I find late stage abortions one of the heinous acts imaginable. -
The Trump and Biden strategies are very different and it will be interesting to see if they turn out to be decisive.
While Trump was spending his funds at a rapid rate early in the campaign and criticizing Biden for hiding in his basement he may well have been throwing money into a void way too early. Add in the vanity spending (the Superbowl ads that Bloomberg goaded him into a competition for) and the funneling of campaign funds to family and Trump Inc, and he has had to rein back recently.
Meanwhile in comparison Biden has held back until recently and is now outspending Trump on TV ads...In the last two weeks of the month, Mr. Biden’s campaign spent $35.9 million on television, compared with $4.8 million for Mr. Trump, according to Advertising Analytics.Trump started campaigning with a huge monetary advantage but while he was spending early Biden was fundraising over zoom at low cost for a high rate of return.
Trump appears to have wasted that advantage (if the polls can be trusted) and now risks not being in the game except via targeted rallies.

The key is how much are Trumps family members paid. And do they have the skills for the job they are doing and is the pay justified.

Also, much harder to be blackmailed for something done in plain view, as opposed to Biden's corruption.

i find the family members getting these high level jobs weird, I always had this feeling the US saw themselves as above any kind of monarchy...and a leader, any leader, giving high level jobs to their children just seems like a modern day monarchy
i mean, they Elect...everyone, local sherifs!...but official adviser to the most powerful man in the world?...family?

So it's more the amount than the act?
You have both of his daughter-in-laws earning big off his campaign funding under job titles that barely match their skills and experience.
You have his daughter and son-in-law being handed well paid 'advisory' roles for which they have no experience.
You have the coincidental rapid issuing of trademarks in China to both Ivanka's company and Trump Inc. after they had been previously declined and just after a trade meeting.
It's not a pissing contest here. Both have used their position to further their families.
Trying to focus on Biden and ignoring Trump is incredibly one-eyed. -

Trying to focus on Biden and ignoring Trump is incredibly one-eyed.One thing you mention is the trademark for her rubbish products (Trump has been pushing for fair trade for all Americans). This is massively different to millions a year for jobs Hunter had no skills for. If she had received the trademark and a billion $ loan then yes. Or a 1 million feee as well. Then it needs to be looked at for sure
The other are areas that need to be looked at. But if its a fair fee for work done etc I don't have an issue. As I wouldn't with Biden's children (or extended family)

getting a trademark that had previously been declined directly after a trade meeting doesn't look bad? definitely looks like using their roles to further themselves personally

I understand (without bothering to look up numbers) that the monetary payoff for her business in gaining those trademarks was worth a lot.

If that's all that Hunter got after his father was pushing for fair trade then not any issue at all. I wouldn't even bother bringing this up as its so minor my view is if this is all there is

There was a whole thread about abortion. Of interest is that studies have found women are more against it than men.

The business has been closed down. But a fair trademark in any country surely is fair enough.
