Matt Henry into the attack. Pakistan will fancy themselves a chance now.

Pretty typical of Henry. Bowls a ripper for a close LBW shout, and then follows it up with a gentle half volley outside off to take the pressure back off the batsmen.

It's so frustrating because he can be so good but can't be consistent. I often wonder if he'd had a consistent run in the side would he have developed that consistency, rather than only playing the odd test here and there. The answer is probably that if he was good enough to do that he have won his way into the side anyway.

He's a beast at first class level, maybe just lacking that extra consistency that means he can't quite handle the step up to tests.

It's tough when NZ play so few tests so there's just not as much opportunity to begin with, and when you're on the fringe you get very few chances at all to cement a spot. I've always rated him highly, and with the new white ball he can be completely unplayable.

Kane would argue he has 230 odd reasons to take that himself

Unsure how the player rankings work with how many games need to be played before their record starts to have any significant impact on rankings, but Mr Jamieson should find himself climbing both the bowlers and allrounders lists very very quickly.

This 5th wicket partnership has given us the most trouble across Pakistans 3 previous innings, so if we can break it early we'll be a good chance of finishing this today.

Jamieson already at 10 on the Allrounder list but his ranking score well below genuine Allrounder status yet.

Can we organise some more tests ASAP, so we can keep watching this guy bowl?
    And Kane bat of course.

Their two bent performing batsmen of the series together, once they go I reckon the rest will follow in short order.

At Lords with a full attack we surely have to be a chance against either Australia or India.

If Kyle gets one more then he is the clear MOTM for me. If he stays at 4 then it is close. MOTM awarders are biased towards batsmen.
