Highlanders v Rebels

@canes4life don’t know about most likely...we’re talking about the highlanders here...but possible

That might very well be it for the Landers unless two of the Blues, Crusaders and Hurricanes turn to shit in the last two rounds.
I've given up caring about a competition where you can comfortably win every one of your matches and not be in contention for a final.
This is a pretend comp. -
@kiwiwomble nah they are far better than all the Aus teams, should smash the Tahs next week and then but away a tired Brumbies outfit.
-
@siam To use a netball terms ,it’s a bit like the constellation cup ,it not really the World Cup
-
Well done everyone involved for getting this game to happen.
That Toomua head high direct contact was as bad or worse than Dmac's. If only the big screen in Townsville was on the blink the chiefs would have won😉
We'll take the win, if not all the money - job done

@kiwiwomble crazy to think that the Landers will most likely go unbeaten but won't make the final.
They have the Brumbies at home so still have one tough game. As do the Canes next week I think. The Blues also have the Reds at home.
Right now, I'd still bet that the Saders will final, because Saders, but it would be fun if it were the Blues and Canes. I don't see both teams getting out of both of their remaining games with bonus points victories though.
-
Bloody happy for Scott Gregory it’s fantastic not just to see him playing in the more familiar position of midfield but showing what a solid footballer he can be ,seems to be improving with every outing ,and up against a very good performer in Matt Toomua..made 2 or 3 very dominant tackles ..hoping we see him develop more in the 12 jersey for the Taniwha.,it’s a good story of redemption .
-
@gt12 Canes have Brumbies away in icey Canberra and then the Reds at home in the final round. I'm confident we can win both but not too sure about bonus points which could be our downfall.
Blues have Reds away and then Force at home. If they get away from Queensland with maximum points they will be in the final.
My head says a Blues vs Crusaders final at Eden Park but I hope it's a Blues vs Hurricanes final at Eden Park.

This is a pretend comp.Just another broken super Comp, like when nz teams with more points than Aussie ones missed out on finals or home finals because if the conference’s
Or when the sharks made the final without playing the two best nz team

To'omua may still get cited.
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who saw that tackle live thought " they'll have to have a close look at that"
But they didn't...
-
@canes4life It's been great too see the Hurricanes finally get some momentum going. Honestly think we are dark horses for the competition.

Fuck off our thread!
🙂😉

@sparky nice one mate😁
I'm not sold on Nareki being an AB. He's super effective in super rugby right now and has improved his game admirably. Just reckon international wingers have a size component that has only ever been bested by crazy footwork or speed - Paulse, Shane Williams, Kolbe were/are all valuable but also stand out gifted
I fear Nareki would be another Reece. Dunno for sure though. Wouldn't hurt for another season to see. Will Jordan put together several season's of good work before his chance, Nareki has about a season and a bit.
-
@bones nah. I been watching Jordan for a while.
Even now he has a hugely greater body of work. Nareki was pretty flakey before Covid. He's good but not an AB I reckon. You'd actually get more game value playing jordie on a wing before Nareki
It's one thing slipping tackles from a resource dearth Aussie super team and another thing dominating international defenders
