I suspect the Stevens win this.
The Richards will do quite well - especially if you're allowed Barry and Viv.
You can probably get Dickwella in there too.
it'd be well hard

I might even allow Richie Richardson
He's almost overqualified!
The Geoffs/Jeffs can put together a decent team.
Boycott, Marsh, Stollmeyer, Howarth, Crowe, TBC, Dujon, Miller, Thomson, Lawson, Dymock

You lot have too much time on your hands ....
I’m just very good at multi tasking.
Would you like me do do a Hawkes Bay XI ?
Do you know 11 HB cricketers? I can't think of any - as much as Smithy pumps the Magpies I don't think he ever played cricket for us even when he was in Central Districts.

@higgins Ntini - pushing it A bit, but reckon it fits
In the absence of alternatives we’ll go with him. One thing this utterly pointless exercise has taught me is it’s tough to name a top quality team even with supposedly common names.
-
James Vince
James Marshall
James Taylor
Jim Burke
Jimmy Adams ( has to keep cos there’s no one else and he did it briefly at test level )
James Neesham
James Faulkner
James Franklin
James Pattinson
Jim Laker
James AndersonAnother one that was surprisingly tough, I had to google Vince, Taylor and Burke…..Pretty weak top order but decent bowlers and bits and pieces all rounders.

@nepia I'll make a start
Martin Crowe
Mark Greatbatch
Dipak Patel
Mike Shrimpton
Doug Bracewell
Scott Briasco
Blair Tickner
Michael Mason (think he played for us late in his career)
Jesse Ryder
Tom Lowry
Ajaz PatelDid Crowe play for Hawkes Bay at some stage?
I should remember Briasco, he taught at Hastings Boys when I was there.
Actually, is Hawkes Bay a sub union (or whatever cricket uses) of CD and does it actually pick a rep team?

What do you mean???????? Hawkes Bay are current holders of the Hawke Cup (symbol of supremacy in minor association cricket) after taking it from North Otago last season and then defending it against Hamilton in the final defense of the season, smashing them outright to really rub it in!!

Smithy was born in Nelson, Poachy!

I just haven't been into cricket for so long I forgot the Hawke Cup existed but remembered the instant I saw the name.
