    @nepia I'll make a start
    Martin Crowe
    Mark Greatbatch
    Dipak Patel
    Mike Shrimpton
    Doug Bracewell
    Scott Briasco
    Blair Tickner
Michael Mason (think he played for us late in his career)
    Jesse Ryder
    Tom Lowry
    Ajaz Patel

Did Crowe play for Hawkes Bay at some stage?

I should remember Briasco, he taught at Hastings Boys when I was there.

Actually, is Hawkes Bay a sub union (or whatever cricket uses) of CD and bolded textdoes it actually pick a rep team?bolded text

What do you mean???????? Hawkes Bay are current holders of the Hawke Cup (symbol of supremacy in minor association cricket) after taking it from North Otago last season and then defending it against Hamilton in the final defense of the season.

I just haven't been into cricket for so long I forgot the Hawke Cup existed but remembered the instant I saw the name.

    🏆

You lot have too much time on your hands ....

I’m just very good at multi tasking.

Would you like me do do a Hawkes Bay XI ?

Do you know 11 HB cricketers? I can't think of any - as much as Smithy pumps the Magpies I don't think he ever played cricket for us even when he was in Central Districts.

Smithy was born in Nelson, Poachy! 🙂

We'll happily send him back, but he's impossible to move from his bar stool at Turks.

@nepia Martin Crowe played for Taradale when he can to HB as a youngster and was bound to have played for the rep team at some stage.

😄I think you deserve a half share of the credit for bringing HB into the thread.

    Matthew Hayden
    Matthew Bell
    Matthew Elliot
    Matthew Sinclair
    Matt McEwen
    Matthew Wade
    Matt Prior
    Matt Hart
    Matt Henry

Started with a hiss and a roar and ended up having to google two guys who’ve never played international cricket ( Kelly and McEwen ).

Jimmy Adams ( has to keep cos there’s no one else and he did it briefly at test level )

James Foster had a stint as English keeper prior to Geriant Jones. Very much an old school gloves first keeper.

When specialist short leg fielder is in the first sentence of your Cricinfo bio that is a worry!

Throw out Dempster too as it is his middle name.

    Enjoy the Johns vs Richards.

I do challenge anyone to make a decent team without google though, it’s bloody tough.
