They’d have to quarantine for 14 days.

I thought some may have flown out after the Top 14 final so would be available for test 3.

France make five changes for second Australia Test

France coach Fabien Galthie made five changes to his team for the second Test against Australia at Melbourne

France coach Fabien Galthie made five changes to his team for the second Test against Australia at Melbourne, all of them in the pack, when he announced the side on Sunday.

Castres prop Wilfrid Hounkpatin and Stade Francais lock Pierre-Henri Azagoh both come into the side to win their first caps on Tuesday as Les Bleus attempt to level the three-match series.

They are joined by Cameron Woki and Ibrahim Diallo in the back row with Bordeaux-Begles lock Cyril Cazeaux also coming into the side to form a new second-row combination with Azagoh who made just six starts in the Top 14 last season.

Not quite sure what to make of the French in this game. I'd think the Wallabies have more room for improvement, and if they just tighten things up a bit they should win the game. But maybe that's underestimating the impact of quarantine on the French?

Either way I'm happy we kept the team settled, and I do expect a much better performance. Just need to control the game a bit better, especially in the way we exit our half. Set piece looks strong and we create enough chances to score enough points.

But I've also thought that before and we've completely shat the bed the next week. So who knows. The life of a Wallabies fan.

The French forwards look very weak in terms of experience. With the notable exception of Barlot, the burly hooker, none of them can break tackles. Azagoh is a very young lock who has struggled to gain some game time during the Top 14.
But the French backs, especially in midfield, look more dangerous than their Australian opponents.
This should be quite interesting to watch, IMO.

@cgrant The French didn't look very dangerous when in possession. They looked great on the counter when we were shitting the bed in the first 20, but then did next to nothing for the rest of the game (except balls up the finish).

The absence of Ntamack, Dupont etc limits them a lot, IMO.

I thought Danty looked really dangerous every time he touched the ball, arguably the best player on the ground. The rest didn't do a whole lot, though.

    @derpus
After the first 20 minutes, they hardy touched the ball so your comment is a bit harsh. When their forwards gave them some good ammunition, they tore the Aussie defense at will.

I really hate those promos where the voice over is stern, and in monotone, while players stand around looking staunch.

    I hate all promos really

And now a try up thanks to some blatant hometown refereeing.

Good run for the first try.

The first action of the possession a bit suss.
