Assume team wont be named until tomorrow, below would be what I'd like to see (injury and availability assumptions)

    Li, Olsen, Te Whata-Colley
    Goodhue, Caird
    Hallam-Eames, Manu, Rush,
    Nock, Reihana
    Gregory, Tua
    Macilai, Hyland, Rayasi

Obviously I'd prefer Hyland on the wing, but given Rush is injured and Cooper's poor efforts at the back last week, he stays.

But my guess is the side will be:
    Li, Olsen, Te Whata-Colley
    Goodhue, Hallam-Eames
    Manu, Macnamara, Rush
    Nock, Reihana
    Gregory, Hohaia
    Tua, Hyland, Leilua

@taniwharugby I am afraid of this game now. Hopeful that they will turn it around from last week. Big game.

Games at home - how many? It’s a fortress.

@kev last 2 bro, after that 7-50 smacking, we are on a roll, 1 point win, 10 point win, odds are we will win by 19 this time!! haha

@kev mate, I've followed northland long enough to know we are equally as likely to win by 20 as we are to lose by 40!

77-8 vs Manawatu 2010 comes to mind with Dave Rennie as their coach. I forget the losses.

@kev another really memorable one for me was 37-7 over waikato in 2017, think it was a reasonably tight first half, but just before half time the weather turned was one of the coldest days I have ever experienced at Okara, loads of people left the ground, but we had an outstanding 2nd 40.

@taniwharugby another pumping for the 2021 toothless Tanis you reckon bro?

We’ve had the wood on these guys recently, two of the last three IIRC. I live in hope.

Loosie balance not quite right, guess gone for size to combat 'nakis big pack. Hopefully they might push Hallam-Eames to 6 at some point too, could be an extra loosie option.

Would liked to have seen Noah Cooper at 15, hyland at 14, guessing they dont rate Rayasi enough to displace Leilua.

Great to see Ross Wright and Sam Caird back too, bench looks better this week.

Naholo needs a big game for the Naki as Tikoisolomone looked useful.

@taniwharugby looks a better side, but effort and execution will have to be their. Hope they can put it all together.

Hope is a permanent state of mind for any long term Northland supporter. We find out if last weeks game was an indicator of the rest of the season or if there is some backbone to this years team.

@kev add Tom and a couple of tweaks elsewhere and on paper probably one of the stronger all round sides we have fielded for some time...but it's what happens on the park that worries me, and our lack of gas.
