First T20I underway now. England made 184/4, and so far the return of Devine and Bates to the batting line-up hasn't started well. Ferns 5/2.

86/6 in the 14th over. Only Amy Satterthwaite has offered much resistance with the bat so far.

Series now 1 - 1 with a four wicket win to the Ferns. They remind me a bit of the early 90s black caps with the bat. Three batting stars but with the potential to collapse otherwise.

Sophie Devine scored a half century in her 100th T20 game for the Ferns.

Extras made a handy contribution for the White Ferns.

England win the deciding game with four wickets and one delivery to spare. All things considered not a bad effort given they're away against England and without Amelia Kerr.

White Ferns are down 2 - 0 so far in the ODI series. On the whole they've been competitive enough with the ball and in the field, but the top order batting hasn't been strong enough.

@donsteppa was watching a bit yesterday, England went from 50-odd for 1, to 150-odd for 9. Then they let them almost reach 200. What happened at the end yesterday? We looked to be wobbling towards the target and then the rain came, so was it DL?

I watched the first half of the England innings and caught the rest on highlights - looked like a wagging tail from England, a rain delay, and then the batting lineup were unable to capitalise on a good opening partnership.

Tahuhu met Michelle and then cracked two 4s and a 6 in the last few balls to win.

The first time they've won a "live" game against one of the big teams in years. Usually NZ has made a habit of winning the last game after already losing the series.

Geez the British female commentators (especially Ebony whatsherface) are really dismissive of NZ.

"Still 25 balls left to get runs off, if NZ can get to 250ish they might be right in the game here" when NZ are 222-7.

The highest score this series is 241. Last match when we beat England they scored 178. Game prior to that was 197.

Oooh lucky us to be close to getting in the game.

NZ ripped off a run on the last ball. Fielder with her foot on the boundary pad as she swiped the ball away. They managed to run 3.

Nevermind 1 run never matters in England and we only scored 244 so aren't even maybe in the game, definitely out of the game.

Average score on this pitch batting first is 243.

Robbed again! No idea how it came down to the last two balls when we didn't even go above the score that would have had us maybe in the match.

The commentators will spin it as a two wicket thrashing...
