Hair-brained by Gibson. No explanation from the union around injuries (typical). Such a class squad this year but this backline from 12 onwards seems like they were drawing straws out of a hat.
Seems Gibson is heading to the pile with Greg Smith and Kevin Schuler

Wellington by 20. Only hope for BOP is if I tip them to get a hiding. So I am.

So has Narawa played 13 at other levels? At NPC level it’s just wing/fullback right?

His defence can be dodgey on the wing. Midfield will be tough

I've also tipped Wellington 17+ in order to guarantee us a win....

Man it's no wonder the canes are going doing the gurgler, when they had their players on this embarrassment of a side, should be in top 3!

Awful game. Pity both teams can't be relegated.

That goal-line dropout rule remains the dumbest thing introduced to rugby. Some idiot rule maker who wanted to work for the NRL

You mean a compulsory invocation of the mercy rule!

EDIT As I write this The Steamers shove Wellington back over their line for another try 14 -05 with the successful conversion

@tim Yet another sign of the ineptness of the WRFU/Hurricanes talent indentification system.

The irony is that will probably give a us better outcome than a goal-line dropout....

Yep, sure enough we now get a lineout inside the 22.

Lucky Collins. How stupid was that slap back, straight into the hands of the BOP player?

Poor fitness or work ethic just before half time there. That last Wellington try scorer should not have got around under the posts.

@steven-harris My memory recalls them being severely embarrassed by The Steamers in the past as well. Still @Canes4life is bound to come along and defend them (promising youngsters is what he invariable cites as why they should be persisted with at the Hurricanes) as he always does when I have pointed out their scrum deficiencies over the last three or four years.
