Didn't Eric Rush do a leaping punch/shoulder on an Aucklander (maybe even a Brooke) in that match? That one would be perfect as he's both an ex Aucklander and an ex Harbour-er.

Thank you, and also to others who told me that. I was generally aware of the sculpture and of his celebrated first try, as separate things. I am pleased that I was able to identify him in the black and white photo by recognising his face from so long ago.
The photographer was on his game that day!
