The usual knights in shining armour will rock into town to blame everyone but the perennial losing players...

I tried to get in but my horse couldn't make headway pasts the knights protecting the coach who has Bluey like results who's somehow avoided the broadsword chopping off his head.

Ps: I've never rated Hurrell anyway, but there's much love from fans for Kata who's a younger, slightly trimmer, as stupid version of him, this I find bemusing.

maybe because Kata has been our best player all year?

People aren't protecting the coach, people are sick of the coach being replaced and there being no apparent improvement in quality.

Instead of (for a change at the Warriors) sticking it to the regular bunch of coach killing losers - a handful of whom even thought mixing red bull with sleeping pills was a bright idea mid season...

Because until that happens, I don't see too many "proper" NRL coaches going near the place :(

It's the same thing. People are having a go at the players for being unprofessional yet the club is unprofessional by selecting a coach who clearly isn't up to the job.

Furthermore there are people who were calling for Bluey's head who are now in the don't replace the coach club. It's like I've swapped bodies with some out there.

I'd prefer the Warriors don't go through a cycle of replacing the coach but it's as clear as mud that the coach is a donkey, "he's lost the dressing room" same as Bluey, and this after a Bluey-like season last year. What positives are there in keeping the coach on?

As for Kata, his flaws are being overlooked and excused due to his hard running style. For some reason a club in turmoil turns Kata and Ayshford into it's best players (until the recent match for Blake).

The players get beaten with the stick all the time at the Warrior (aside from in the Auckland media). I was sticking the boot into the players for a long time last year (especially at the live games I went to) but after a while you realise it's systemic and the guy at the top drives those systems.

Get over it Nepia, Bluey was a shit club coach.

Look, i think the coach is shit. I think the coach needs to go. But before he gets the arse, i want to know who is taking over. It can't be internal, because they are tainted already. Who is the upgrade?

"losing the dressing room" is bullshit speak for players not trying.

Kata is very limited. But he puts in, and he's being effective. Those are not words you can use to describe a large portion of the squad. And certainly not words you could use for Hurrell for the vast majority of his "career"

Amen.

The coach might be Basil Fawlty, but if that's their excuse for phoning it in and barely defending week after week, then that's soft.

The two are not mutually exclusive. Incompetent coach + unprofessional players = recipe for disaster.

FFS, I didn't invent the term - it was used by the anti Bluey brigade to knock him down a peg.

Cappy is a shit club coach. Why do you want me to get over one but not the other?

They're not, but thankfully Jim Doyle is at least diverting from the "shit results only means a shit coach" mantra of some fans and previous Warriors administrators...

In recent years I've wondered if even Wayne Bennett/Craig Bellamy could sort some of this lot out.

I read this a few days ago about Bellamy's pre season. I reckon he'd "lose the dressing room" pretty quickly at the Warriors if he made them train like that

Both - when was the last time we had a good coach?

It's fine to say "drop all the players". But then you have to replace them. Easier said then done.
