Havent6read the thread, but thoughts closing in on half time.

    1. T-cube goes ok. Not sure why the Chiefs ditched him. Any rumours of tude? Makes the breakdown quickly, and makes good passes. To me it's not beyond the realms of seeing him back in black.
    2. Saders struggling to dominate. i do expect them to bring it home, but never give a mug an even break ie. never take your opposition lightly.

Really? To me he had no urgency to the breakdown and his pass looked extremely laboured. Very frustrating to watch, especially when our 1st 5 (Hickey) was standing so deep.

That first half was basically an NPC game. A few good highlights, but some mediocre play.

Happy for all the debutantes from both sides and hopefully we are building…

Predicted that'd be a hard watch and sure enough it was. Crikey. A brand new franchise's first competition run, against a Crusaders 23 resembling more a pre season side than serious competition side, in an empty stadium. Plus Dolmans' shit reffing and the main commentator to regularly confusing players.

I understand the commentators wanting to talk up MP but not once, not once, did they mention this was a Crusaders team missing Moody, Barrett, Whitelock, Grace, Havili'i, Ennor/Goodhue, Reece and Jordan, whilst featuring or debuting the likes of Gardiner, Kellow, Hickey, Finau, Punivai and Naholo. Don't get me wrong, still a decent team featuring a number of internationals, but way below full strength and seriously lacking in proven combinations in the loose trio, inside backs and outside backs. Only McLeod and Punivai in the midfield are likely to have played together before of the backs, and possibly the front row and locks had played together before.

An NPC game is well put. Both sides were at about that strength.

Noticed TTT take a couple of steps sideways before passing a few times. Slow service.

Thought TTT look laboured. Add Hickey at 10 and…

Why has Fomai never had a SR contract I like his work.

Probably because he plays for Samoa and with the Canes in mind the Magpies.

Now as I understand, he comes from the shunned team in the canes region.

You can always rely on old mate @Nepia to bring up the bay !

    He never claims Bridge.

He went to Lindersfarne, which is the equivalent of the Tahs in HB, plus I think he was only a boarder (he might be from Poverty Bay originally).

    Gisborne born.
You claim all the other Lindisfarne players so you have to be responsible for George

Timu, Israel and Taine were all born and raised in Hawkes Bay, there's no confirmation that Bridge was anything but a boarder, until @Stargazer confirms one way or another I firmly reject your assertion. 😉

    He was a boarder (2008-2012).

@billy-tell Problem was there was no obvious improvement when Mo'unga came on. He just seemed a bit skittish and failed to bring a calm head to drive the Crusaders around.

He would have been the worst AB of the week if it wasn't for BB.
