This should be a pretty good game. Unfortunately the heavy rain in Sydney probably means a soggy field - hopefully it dries out before Sunday.

@kiwimurph Yep, Tahs are quite a bit better than last year and the result won't be predictable anymore.

I hope Cridge (now bracketed on the bench) passes his medical in time for this game.

Rain has backed off. Last game at Leichhardt the pitch held up pretty well in bad weather as it drains to the bay. We will see I guess - might even make the journey as my daughter has something in the city on Sunday and arvo footy is always good

If he's any risk I'd rather save him for another week

He's as likely to slip over and injure himself while sitting down to watch the game so may as well play him. 🙂

    Good start from the Force

Weak defence though. Sure it’s was a prop was beaten on the outside but Perese could’ve got a shoulder on him

Tahs grinding out to a solid lead 14-7

Plenty of errors, but considering the late change at halfback and the early Force try that’s not bad. I doubt the Gibson/Penney Tahs sides would’ve reacted as well.

Can't blame the conditions, that's for sure. More handling errors than we had against the Reds in a monsoon!

Are these refs all given the same law book at the start of the season?
In NZ hackles can’t even hint at not supporting body weight yet here the Tahs 7 lies on the ground, rips the ball and passes it?
    Baffled

Gotta say it is a nice looking suburban ground for arvo footy. Shame I couldn't make it.

Maybe everyone in NZ was just slow? 😉

I'm just finishing the first half now so can't see what you're referring to.

Got a bit of time for Charlie Gamble

He was sensational in the 2015 Under 19 tournanent for Canterbury when they won the title , thought you would see him in the Crusaders but it did’nt eventuate
He beat out Blake Gibson and Du Plessis Kiri as the player of the tournament .
Great build for a jackler at breakdown .

@steven-harris last half of 2021 he really started to come on. Hooper will add something when he comes back, but how do you drop Gamble?

Every time I see Gamble I think him and Marcel Renata are doppelgangers.

Having seen the incident: he was rewarding Blue 7 for getting there first and in a strong position to lift the ball before Black 6 rolled him forward onto his head.

Similar penalty was given to the Force where first man got the rights and the Tahs cleaners didn't get there until half a second later.

@nta has taken him a while to find his feet level but looks better every game ..cant see tye Tahs having both Hooper and Gamble on the field at the same time ..Swinton will slot back into 6 and Harris at 8 is getting better each outing ..
